Disc brake caliper
A disc brake caliper is basically provided with a caliper housing, a brake pad and an intermediate member. The caliper housing defines a slot that is configured to receive a brake rotor. The caliper housing is made of a first material. The brake pad includes a mounting plate. The brake pad is disposed in the slot. The intermediate member is disposed between the caliper housing and the brake pad. The intermediate member is made of a second material having a thermal conductivity that is smaller than a thermal conductivity of the first material.

BRAKE DEVICE
A brake device includes a rotating member; a fixed member; a pressing member configured to generate an engaging force between the rotating member and the fixed member; an elastic member configured to apply an elastic force to the pressing member; an engaging force application mechanism configured to apply the engaging force to the pressing member; a torque transmission member configured to transmit torque transmitted from the rotating member to the fixed member; a torque receiving member configured to receive the torque; a conversion mechanism configured to convert the torque into thrust in the axial direction and apply the thrust to the engaging force; and an actuator configured to move the torque receiving member in the axial direction by generating thrust in the torque receiving member and adjust a position of the torque receiving member along the axial direction based on a reaction force against the engaging force.

Brake caliper housing and a method of checking sealing of same
A brake caliper housing and a method of checking sealing of a brake caliper housing. The brake caliper housing may include a cavity, a guide pin opening, and an internal passage. The guide pin opening may receive a guide pin that facilitates sliding movement of the brake caliper housing. The internal passage may extend from the cavity to the guide pin opening.
Asymmetrical energized seal arrangement
A seal arrangement includes an annular energizer backing an annual seal. The seal is disposed about a central axis and has a first seal surface extending in a radial direction, a second seal surface extending in an axial direction, and a back side opposite at least one of the first and second seal surfaces. The annular energizer is made of a resilient compressible material configured to engage the back side of the seal. The seal and the energizer are arranged concentrically about the central axis, and the energizer engages the seal asymmetrically with respect to a radial plane extending through an axial center of the seal to apply a biasing force to the seal biasing the first seal surface in a first radial direction and biasing the second seal surface in a first axial direction.

Disk brake pad and disc brake assembly
A disc brake pad includes a lining and a back plate supporting the lining and having a projecting lug portion and a torque transfer surface. The projecting lug portion projects towards a rotor exit side. The torque transfer surface is disposed at a side edge portion which is situated further radially inwards than the lug portion. The projecting lug portion includes a first projecting arc-shaped surface portion which is disposed at a radially innermost portion of a radially inner surface of the lug portion. A portion of the torque transfer surface which lies near to a radially outer end of the torque transfer surface and which is situated further radially inwards than both of the radially inner surface and an action line of a brake tangential force exerted on braking is most projected toward the rotor exit side on the torque transfer surface.
