A brake disc assembly includes a friction ring made of a first material and a brake disc chamber made of a second material and which is secured to the friction ring. The brake disc chamber has a first connection ring with multiple first radial openings, and the friction ring has a second connection ring with multiple second radial openings. The connection rings are coaxial such that at least some of the first and second radial openings are flush with one another. A fixing pin lies in at least some of the flush radial openings to connect the connection rings. The first connection ring has at least one wall element with at least one additional radial opening paired with the circumference of the first connection ring such that the additional radial opening is flush with one of the first radial openings. The fixing pin also lies in the additional radial opening.
Braking band of a disk for a disk brake of the ventilated type
A braking band of a disk brake disk has a first plate and a second plate arranged joined to each other by connecting elements. The first and second plates have first and second plate outer surfaces, opposite portions of the first and second outer surfaces forming opposite braking surfaces. The braking band has a plurality of attachment portions for connecting the braking band to a vehicle hub or a bell. Each attachment portion has a connection seat. The attachment portions are spaced by recesses. Each attachment portion has an attachment portion wall having opposite side wall portions, two bottom wall portions and an inner end wall portion, and opposite first and second attachment portion surfaces. Each recess extends radially beyond the connection seat. Each side wall portion is joined to the adjoining bottom wall portion by a cylindrical bottom arch avoiding edges. Each side wall portion is joined to the adjoining inner end wall portion by a cylindrical end arch avoiding edges. Each first attachment portion surface is coplanar to the first braking surface except for the wear of the first braking surface.
Brake disc
Described is a brake disc, rotating about its own axis of rotation, including a brake strip, an element for supporting the brake strip and a plurality of first elements for connecting the brake strip with the supporting element which can be elastically deformed in such a way as to allow a relative movement of the brake strip with respect to the supporting element. The supporting element includes at least a first component and a second component connected to the brake strip by means of the first connecting elements. A plurality of second connecting elements of the first component and of the second component are elastically deformable in such a way as to allow a relative movement between the first component and the second component.
HEAT DISSIPATING BRAKE ROTOR
A brake rotor for a bicycle has a brake body formed of a first material and a cooling element with a cooling body, at least part of which is formed of a second material that has a higher thermal conductivity than the first material. The brake body has a generally annular shape with a first axial contact surface. The cooling body is coupled to the first axial contact surface. The cooling body may be in contact with the first axial contact surface around the brake body for a majority of a circumference of the heat dissipation region. The cooling body may be attached to or be an integral part of a carrier coupled to the brake body. The cooling body may include a protrusion.
Friction ring for a brake disk and related methods
A brake disk with a friction ring or to a friction ring, which comprises a PMMC (particle metal matrix composite), at least in the region of its friction surface. The friction surface of the friction ring is provided with mechanically applied microgrooves, which extend in a radial direction with respect to a circumferential direction of rotation of the friction ring, non-tangentially angled thereto.
