Torque bar retention for wheel assemblies
A wheel assembly includes a wheel portion comprises a web having an inboard surface. The web may define a torque bar retention slot that extends from the inboard surface of the web. The wheel assembly may also include a bushing disposed in the torque bar retention slot, wherein the bushing comprises an open end and a closed end. Still further, the wheel assembly may include a torque bar coupled to the wheel, and the torque bar may include a boss extending into the bushing through the open end of the bushing such that the boss of the torque bar is at least partially disposed within the torque bar retention slot of the wheel portion.
Brake disc for railway vehicle
A brake disc for a railway vehicle is provided in which noise arising from the brake disc during high-speed rotation of a wheel is reduced by a large margin. A brake disc for a railway vehicle includes: a disc plate portion that has a sliding portion on a front face thereof; a plurality of through-holes that pass from the front face to a rear face of the disc plate portion and are arranged in alignment in the circumferential direction of the disc plate portion, the through-holes allowing bolts to pass therethrough for fastening together the disc plate portion and a wheel of the railway vehicle; and a groove provided to link a plurality of through-holes on the front face side of the disc plate portion.
WHEEL DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY
The invention at hand refers to a wheel disc brake assembly comprising a wheel rim, a coupler ring and an annular brake disc arranged in a concentric manner, wherein an outer surface of the coupler ring is connected to an inner surface of the wheel rim and an inner surface of the coupler ring is connected to an outer surface of the annular brake disc. The wheel disc brake assembly further comprises a caliper with at least two brake pads facing each other, wherein the caliper surrounds at least a part of the inner surface of the annular brake disc and the at least two brake pads are configured to press against opposite side faces of the annular brake disc.
HEAT SHIELD RETAINING CLASP
A wheel assembly is disclosed herein. The wheel assembly includes a torque bar extending in a first direction, a retainer plate coupled to the torque bar, the retainer plate having a first side formed into a first U-channel, the first U-channel formed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, a heat shield panel having a first side formed into a second U-channel, the second U-channel of the heat shield panel being formed in a third direction opposite the second direction, and a retention clasp formed from a portion of the heat shield panel, the retention clasp formed over an open end of the second U-channel.
ROTOR DRIVE KEY ASSEMBLY
In some examples, an assembly includes a vehicle wheel that defines an interior and an exterior surface, where the interior surface defines a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first protrusion defines a first aperture extending in a substantially axial direction. The assembly further includes a rotor drive key on the interior surface, the drive key defining a first and second feature, and the first feature defines a second aperture extending in the substantially axial direction and is configured to align with the first aperture. The assembly includes a fastener configured to be inserted through the first and second aperture in the substantially axial direction to attach the key to the interior surface of the wheel, where the second aperture is configured to form a threaded connection with an end of the fastener. When the fastener is tightened via the threaded connection, the second feature engages the second protrusion.
Electric motor assembly for a motor vehicle and brake
An electric motor assembly for a motor vehicle and brake has an engine cartridge with a stator connected to an engine casing. The engine cartridge also has a rotor connected to a wheel shaft. The assembly also has a disc of a disc brake connected to the wheel shaft. The assembly also has a disc brake caliper arranged astride the disc and connected to the engine casing.
Electrorheological brake
A brake assembly is suitable for use with a vehicle wheel that has a rim rotatably mounted to an axle. The brake assembly includes a housing fixedly positioned relative to the axle and a plurality of disks disposed within the housing and fixedly positioned relative to the rim. A fluid is disposed within the housing and has a selectively variable viscosity. The viscosity of the fluid is selectively increased to increase a braking force applied to the wheel.
BRAKING ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE WHEEL
A braking assembly can include a brake disc that may have a first segment and a second segment arranged to form a portion of a friction ring. The assembly can also include a fastening assembly that can include a first bracket that may have a first face configured to contact the wheel web and a second face opposite to the first face. The fastening assembly may also include a fastening device with a sliding pin disposed around a shaft. The first bracket may be disposed around the sliding pin and secured between the wheel web and a first component of the fastening device. The shaft may be disposed through the wheel web and the first bracket. The first component can contact the second face of the first bracket and may compress the first bracket against the wheel web to secure the first segment and the second segment to the wheel.
DISK BRAKE DEVICE
The disk brake device includes a brake disk, a brake lining, and a brake caliper. The brake lining includes a friction member and a base plate for supporting the friction member. When a plurality of bolt holes are projected onto a rear face of the base plate in a direction of an axle, a boundary passes through areas of the projected bolt holes. The brake caliper includes an inner pressing surface that applies a load on an inner area and an outer pressing surface that applies a load on an outer area. The load applied on the inner area from the inner pressing surface is different from the load applied on the outer area from the outer pressing surface. In this way, it is possible to suppress stress imposed on bolts while suppressing a local temperature rise in the brake disk.
