ROLLER SCREW SYSTEM
A roller screw system includes a spindle defining a longitudinal axis about which the spindle rotates. A nut at least partially radially surrounds the spindle. The nut is configured for longitudinal motion with respect to the spindle. At least one non-helically grooved roller is interposed radially between the spindle and the nut. A cage maintains the at least one roller in position radially between the spindle and the nut and supports the at least one roller for rotational motion. The nut is moved in longitudinally in a duty cycle responsive to transmission of rotational motion from the spindle to the at least one roller, and transformation of rotational motion of the at least one roller to longitudinal motion of the nut. A home position of the nut and a home position of the cage both move longitudinally after a predetermined number of duty cycles.
Brake housing assembly
A brake housing assembly including a brake housing and a bearing support. The brake housing may have a recess defining a recess axis, the recess having a base and a recess wall, the base defining a base contour. The bearing support may have a projection defining a bearing support axis, the projection having an end and a projection wall, the end defining an end contour corresponding to the base contour such that with the end in engagement with the base the end contour and base contour cooperate to align the bearing support axis with the recess axis.
SLACK ADJUSTER MAIN SPRING HOUSING CONTAMINANT SUMP
A drainage system for use with a slack adjuster for a railway brake rigging wherein the slack adjuster includes a main spring housing, a cone nut housing enclosing a critical operating area of the slack adjuster, and an over travel housing. The drainage system includes at least one opening extending through a sidewall portion of the main spring housing. The opening is configured to allow fluid and/or contaminates to drain therethrough to reduce exposure of the critical operating area of the slack adjuster to the fluid and/or contaminants. A seal/splash guard can be provided at the intersection of the main spring housing and the cone nut housing to prevent fluid and contaminants from entering into the cone nut housing.

A drainage system for use with a slack adjuster for a railway brake rigging wherein the slack adjuster includes a main spring housing, a cone nut housing enclosing a critical operating area of the slack adjuster, and an over travel housing. The drainage system includes at least one opening extending through a sidewall portion of the main spring housing. The opening is configured to allow fluid and/or contaminates to drain therethrough to reduce exposure of the critical operating area of the slack adjuster to the fluid and/or contaminants. A seal/splash guard can be provided at the intersection of the main spring housing and the cone nut housing to prevent fluid and contaminants from entering into the cone nut housing.
Adjusting device for a disc brake
A readjusting device is provided for compensating wear of a brake pad or multiple brake pads and/or a brake disc of a pneumatically actuatable disc brake for a vehicle. The readjusting device has a mechanical actuator, and the mechanical actuator converts a rotational movement of a brake lever into a rotational movement of a shaft. The shaft rotates at least one threaded spindle which acts on one of the brake pads. The readjusting device can carry out an advancing movement and a return movement of the threaded spindle, and the advancing movement and the return movement of the threaded spindle can be terminated by switching one or more couplings.
Adjusting device for a disc brake
A readjusting device is provided for compensating wear of a brake pad or multiple brake pads and/or a brake disc of a pneumatically actuatable disc brake for a vehicle. The readjusting device has a mechanical actuator, and the mechanical actuator converts a rotational movement of a brake lever into a rotational movement of a shaft. An electronic parking brake device may include: a gear unit driven by an actuator; a rotating rod connected to the gear unit; a push rod unit configured to pressurize one or more shoes while moved in connection with the rotating rod; a clutch unit disposed to interfere with a moving line of the gear unit, and configured to apply a rotational load to the gear unit while abutting on the gear unit, when the gear unit is rotated at a present angle; and a controller configured to control the operation of the actuator according to the load applied to the actuator.

BRAKE CALIPER FOR A VEHICLE BRAKE, ADJUSTER UNIT, GEARWHEEL AND ADJUSTER NUT FOR A BRAKE CALIPER
A brake caliper for a vehicle brake is provided. The vehicle brake includes a pair of brake pads, configured to be coupled to the brake caliper, and a disc positioned between the brake pads. The brake caliper includes an adjuster unit mounted to the brake caliper. The adjuster unit includes a gearwheel configured to be rotary driven in a first direction, and an adjuster nut operatively coupled with the gearwheel and configured to be operatively coupled with one of the brake pads, such that a rotational movement of the gearwheel in the first direction is converted, by the adjuster nut, into an axial movement of the brake pad towards the disc. The gearwheel is mounted in the brake caliper such that the gearwheel is axially fixed relative to the brake caliper, while the adjuster nut and the gearwheel are in an axially slidable engagement with respect to one another.
