Self-tolerance compensating S-cam brake system and vehicle having the same
An S-cam brake system having is disclosed. The system includes a roller assembly, an S-cam, a shoe, and an S-cam brake. The roller assembly is configured to allow relative movement between a roller and a roller pin. The roller assembly is interposed between the S-cam and the shoe. Relative movement between a roller and a roller pin can compensates a defect in machining the outer contact surface of the S-cam roller or a defect in concentricity of roller seating depressions of the shoe.

Adjusting unit for an automatic slack adjuster
An adjusting unit for an automatic slack adjuster of a vehicle drum brake includes a housing (19), a worm shaft (2) mounted in the housing (19) so as to be movable between two end positions along an axial travel (A), a control pinion (9) arranged on the worm shaft, a worm (7) arranged on the worm shaft, and a freewheel (13) for power transmission between the control pinion (9) and the worm (7) in a first direction of rotation and for slip between the control pinion (9) and the worm (7) in an opposite, second direction of rotation. The worm shaft (2) has a first stop surface (3) and a second stop surface (5), which can each be brought into contact with a corresponding first stop (25) and second stop (21) at the end positions of the housing (19). An automatic slack adjuster includes such an adjusting unit.

Automatic slack adjuster for braking systems of automotive vehicles, braking system and corresponding wheels
An automatic slack adjuster (1, 101, 201) for braking systems of automotive vehicles, in particular for drum brakes of commercial vehicles, includes a lever (3, 103, 203) configured to be operatively coupled to a push rod (117, 217) of a brake actuator, and to pivot about a rotational axis (R) when actuated by the push rod (117, 217), the rotational axis (R) having a predetermined fixed location relative to the vehicle. The stroke level of the slack adjuster (1, 101, 201) is moveable between a predetermined zero stroke position (7a, 107a, 207a) and a working stroke range (7b). The invention furthermore relates to a braking system (100) for an automotive vehicle and a wheelset (200) can include the slack adjuster. An electronic detection unit (98, 109, 209) determines the current stroke level of the automatic slack adjuster (1, 101, 201).
