Disk Brake
The present invention relates to a brake actuating mechanism for a disc brake having an optimized adjusting device.
RUNAWAY EMERGENCY ACTUATOR BRAKE
A system includes an electrically-actuated clutch arranged to selectively connect a shaft to a motor shaft. Ratchets brake the shaft against rotation in either direction when the output is not within either of the predetermined ranges. Thus, when the motor shaft is connected, via the clutch, to the shaft, the ratchets may act as a brake on the motor shaft.
SAFETY BRAKES FOR CIRCULAR SAW BLADES, CIRCULAR SAWS THAT INCLUDE THE SAFETY BRAKES, AND METHODS OF OPERATING CIRCULAR SAWS
Safety brakes for circular saw blades, circular saws that include the safety brakes, and methods of operating circular saws are disclosed herein. The safety brakes include a sensor assembly, a brake assembly, and an actuator assembly. The sensor assembly is configured to detect an actuation parameter and to generate a trigger signal responsive to detection of the actuation parameter. The brake assembly includes a brake cam and a brake pad. The brake cam is configured to selectively transition between a disengaged configuration and an engaged configuration and is configured to operatively engage a planar side surface of the circular saw blade. The brake pad includes a pad friction material and is positioned such that the pad friction material faces toward the brake cam. The actuator assembly is configured to selectively transition the brake cam from the disengaged configuration to the engaged configuration responsive to receipt of the trigger signal.
CASTER WHEEL BRAKE SYSTEM
A caster wheel brake system for carts and other wheeled articles is operable to secure caster wheels against rolling rotation along their horizontal rotation axes. The system includes a pivotable parking brake lever, an actuator arm, and a torque shaft extending between the brake lever and actuator arm. The brake lever includes a distal end portion for selectively engaging a caster wheel, a proximal end portion opposite the distal end portion, and a pivot coupling, the latter being pivotably secured to the cart or wheeled article. An actuator arm extends outwardly from a distal end portion of the torque shaft, with the actuator arm slidably engaging the proximal end portion of the brake lever. The torque shaft and the actuator arm are rotatable together to urge the brake lever toward the braking or non-braking position
Heavy vehicle drum brake improvements
The present disclosure relates to vehicle drum brakes. In one aspect, there is provided a brake shoe comprising a guide at or near its free end, which prevents brake shoe misalignment. According to a further aspect, there is provided a guide for attachment to a brake shoe at or near its free end, which prevents brake shoe misalignment. According to a further aspect, there is provided a drum brake assembly comprising a brake shoe comprising the guide.
Automatic slack adjuster torque limiting link
A self-adjusting automatic slack adjuster for reducing slack in the brake of a vehicle includes an adjuster link having a resilient portion. When a brake application force being applied to the slack adjuster exceeds a level that could result in brake application linkage damage as a result of the slack adjuster's slack adjustment mechanism having reached a travel limit, the resilient portion of the adjuster link permits the axial length of the adjuster link to change to accommodate the high brake application force in order to minimize or preclude damage to the brake application linkage.
BRAKE APPARATUS AND AUTOMOBILE
This application relates to a brake apparatus. The brake apparatus is connected to a rotating part. The brake apparatus includes a housing connected to the rotating part, a brake part, a transmission part, a drive part, a gain mechanism, and a compensation mechanism. The drive part drives, by using the transmission part, the brake part to move along a direction close to or away from the rotating part for braking and braking release. A moving member of the compensation mechanism is connected to the gain mechanism, and a transmission member of the compensation mechanism is connected to the drive part, to drive the gain mechanism to move along a direction close to the brake part. Such a design improves resetting efficiency of the brake part, and compensation is performed by using a mechanical structure, which helps simplify a structure of the brake apparatus and better meets an actual use requirement.
Automatic slack adjuster
The invention is for automatic slack adjuster for an automobile with a housing having an aperture for receiving a brake cam shaft comprising of a worm gear coaxially mounted within the said housing aperture and configured to coaxially engage the brake cam shaft, such that the said worm gear and said cam shaft rotating together about a first axis. The arrangement has a bore with a single open end for receiving a worm clutch shaft. The said worm clutch shaft is mounted in the said housing to rotate about a second axis, which is perpendicular to first axis. The invention has only one side opening. The thrust load from the worm shaft is transferred through the thrust bush through the main housing of the assembly.
Driving apparatus
A driving apparatus 100 includes a motor 20 that generates drive power and power transmission units 30, 40, and 50 that transmit drive power of the motor 20 to an output shaft 60. The power transmission units 30, 40, and 50 include a clutch mechanism 30 that switches between a state where the motor 20 and the output shaft 60 are connected and a state where the motor 20 and the output shaft 60 are disconnected, and a brake mechanism 40 that brakes rotation of the output shaft 60, and the clutch mechanism 30 is arranged so as to overlap the brake mechanism 40 in a radial direction.
Disk brake
A disk brake includes an attachment member (11) having a pair of pin support sections (26) in which pin holes (29) extending in a disk axial direction are formed and disposed to cross an outer circumferential side of a disk, and fixed to a non-rotating section of a vehicle, a caliper (13) having slide pins (30) slidably inserted into the pin holes (29) at both sides in a disk circumferential direction and movably supported by the attachment member in the disk axial direction, and a pair of pads movably supported by the attachment member and pressed against both surfaces of the disk by the caliper, wherein the slide pin includes a pin main body having an annular groove (153) on a tip side, and a tubular elastic deformation member (131) having a plurality of convex sections (162) on an inner circumferential side and provided in the annular groove (153).
