ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE
A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper including: (i) one or more pistons, (b) one or more rotary to linear actuators that provides an axial force to move the one or more pistons, (c) a motor gear unit in communication with the one or more rotary to linear actuators, the motor gear unit including: (i) a motor, and (ii) an electromagnetic brake that prevents movement of the motor gear unit, the pistons, or both when the motor is turned off so that the brake apply is maintained.
ELECTRIC BRAKING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Provided is an electric braking device that transmits power generated by an electric motor MTR to a pressing member PSN and causes pressing force to be generated by the pressing member PSN with respect to a friction member MSB. Hysteresis characteristics in the relation between the power supply amount to the electric motor and the pressing force of the pressing member are detected each time a predetermined point in time arrives. Upon determination of a “holding state in which the pressing force is held constant”, a minimum value for a power supply amount that makes it possible to maintain the current pressing force is obtained on the basis of the most recently detected hysteresis characteristics and the power supply amount is set to a value determined on the basis of the obtained minimum value for the power supply amount.
Clutch arrangement for a roadable aircraft
A clutch arrangement for between an engine and a propeller of a drivetrain of a roadable aircraft. The arrangement includes an engine shaft, a propeller shaft, a stationary clutch arrangement housing, and an engagement member which is rotationally locked to and axially slidable relative to propeller shaft. The engagement member includes a first engagement structure for engaging a corresponding engagement structure associated with the engine shaft for setting the clutch arrangement in a propeller propulsion mode, in which rotational propulsion torque is transmitted from the engine shaft to the propeller shaft via the engagement member. The engagement member further includes a second engagement structure for engaging a corresponding engagement structure associated with the clutch arrangement housing for setting the clutch arrangement in a propeller locked mode, in which the propeller shaft is rotationally locked to the clutch arrangement housing by means of the engagement member.
OPERATING UNIT FOR AN ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
An operating unit for a parking brake of motor vehicles including an operatively connected unit having of a drive spindle and nut, which forms an axially longitudinally adjustable element of a linear drive. The drive spindle has a drive side for connection to an electric drive and a substantially cylindrical spindle portion having an external thread. The nut has a sleeve-shaped central body having an internal thread and a head portion designed to act as a pressure piston on a brake element of the parking brake. The internal and external threads intermesh in the operative connection and define a common axial axis of rotation. The thread is a symmetrical thread, and the flank angles, relative to a radial reference plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation, have angle values which are substantially equal in magnitude.
BRAKING SYSTEM, BRAKING METHOD, AND VEHICLE
A braking system includes a pedal assembly, a hydraulic assembly, a reversing assembly, a driving wheel assembly, a pedal feel simulator, and a first electronic control unit. The first electronic control unit is electrically connected to the reversing assembly, and controls the reversing assembly to switch a working location. The reversing assembly includes at least two working locations. When the reversing assembly is at a first working location, a brake fluid output port of the hydraulic assembly is connected to the driving wheel assembly through the reversing assembly. When the reversing assembly is at a second working location, the first electronic control unit is electrically connected to the driving wheel assembly, and controls the driving wheel assembly to provide brake force.
Fixed-Caliper Brake Comprising Electromechanical-Hydraulic Force Transmission
A fixed-caliper brake has a combined electromechanical/hydraulic force transmission, including a fixed caliper, a brake disc, a first brake piston device which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is designed to directly or indirectly transmit a first pressure force to a first lateral face of the brake disc associated therewith by way of at least one brake piston, a second brake piston device which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is designed to directly or indirectly transmit a second pressure force to a second lateral face of the brake disc associated therewith and opposite the first lateral face by way of at least one brake piston, and an electromechanical actuator which is arranged on or in the brake caliper and is configured to exert a force onto the first brake piston device and onto the second brake piston device, respectively, when actuated. The force is further transmitted by the particular brake piston device, at least proportionally, as the first or second pressure force, respectively, onto the particular associated lateral face of the brake disc. The electromechanical actuator and the second brake piston device are hydraulically coupled to one another to cause the exertion of force from the electromechanical actuator to the second brake piston device.
CALIPER BRAKE
Disclosed herein a caliper brake includes a carrier in which a pair of pad plates are installed to move forward and backward toward a disk; a caliper housing slidably installed on the carrier and provided with a cylinder; a piston installed in the cylinder and configured to move forward and backward toward the pair of pad plates by a braking hydraulic pressure; a seal groove formed to be recessed in an annular shape on an inner surface of the cylinder; and a seal member accommodated in the seal groove, the seal member including a front surface located in a forward direction of the piston; wherein the front surface is provided with a protrusion from which at least a part thereof protrudes.
ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE
A parking brake for a wheel rotor having a brake pad associated therewith includes a housing defining first and second passages. First and second pistons are provided in the respective first and second passages. Spindles are threadably connected with each piston. A clutch unit is connected to the spindles. The clutch unit has a first condition allowing relative rotation between the spindles and the pistons such that the pistons are axially movable within the passages and into engagement with the brake pad in response to hydraulic pressure applied to the pistons. The clutch unit has a second condition preventing relative rotation between the spindles and the pistons such that pistons remains engaged with the brake pad when hydraulic fluid pressure is removed from the pistons.
