A brake caliper for a disc brake has a caliper body straddling a brake disc. The caliper body has a thrust device housing accommodating a thrust device configured to apply a bias on at least one brake pad to abut the at least one brake pad against braking surfaces of the brake disc. The thrust device is operatively connected to a translating screw nut. The translating screw nut is operatively connected to a worm. The worm is operatively connected to a gearbox and rotatably supported by a screw thrust bearing configured to apply for the worm an axial reaction. At least one part of the gearbox is rotatably supported by at least one gearbox thrust bearing configured to apply for the at least one part of the gearbox a radial reaction. The screw thrust bearing and the gearbox thrust bearing are a same thrust bearing.

ELECTRIC BRAKING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

The present invention is provided with a power transmission member rotatably supported by a caliper, and a ratchet wheel fixed by the member. A first linear direction movement of a pawl member that engages with a mobile member of a solenoid is guided by a guide member fixed by the caliper. The pawl member is continuously pressed in a release direction by an elastic member. The interlocking force in an interlocking direction, imparted by mobile member of the solenoid mobile member to the pawl member, and the release force in the release direction, which is imparted by the elastic member to the pawl member oppose each other, and the interlocking force is larger than the release force. The pawl member and the mobile member move linearly together in one of the interlocking direction and the release direction.

Park lock and pad wear adjusting arrangement for electrically actuated brake

An electrically actuated brake assembly includes a brake disc, a brake pad, and an electric motor having a rotatable output shaft. A service brake transmission in operative rotational communication with the output shaft causes service braking of the vehicle in response to rotation of the output shaft, and an adjuster mechanism is operable to adjust a distance between the brake pad and the brake disc. An adjuster transmission operatively connected between the output shaft and the adjuster mechanism causes operative rotational communication between the output shaft and the adjuster mechanism when the adjuster transmission is engaged so as to transmit rotational movement of the output shaft to the adjuster mechanism, and causes there to be no operative rotational communication between the output shaft and the adjuster mechanism when the adjuster transmission is disengaged so as to not transmit rotational movement of the output shaft to the adjuster mechanism.
