20210215210 · 2021-07-15 ·

The control of the engagement rate of a clutch in a driveline is described herein. The clutch engagement rate is determined using at least one parameter of the driveline. An illustrative example where the parameters include the slipping level of the clutch and the rotational speed at the output of the clutch is described herein.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SHIFT CONTROL IN VEHICLE

An apparatus for shift control in a vehicle includes: a transmission; an acceleration apparatus; and a control circuit electrically connected with the transmission and the acceleration apparatus. The control circuit shifts the transmission from a drive state to a neutral state when an activation condition for coasting is satisfied during travel of the vehicle, and corrects an oil pressure for release of a clutch in the transmission at the time of a kickdown shift, when a driver's input for kickdown is detected through the acceleration apparatus during the coasting.

A method is described for calibrating a characteristic diagram of a working machine. The characteristic diagram includes a brake pedal characteristic of a brake system and at least one clutch characteristic of a drive input clutch which, in the calibrated condition, have a nominal relationship to one another. The method having the steps of: determining a wheel-side drive output torque; determining an actual brake pedal characteristic with reference to the drive output torque; determining an actual relationship that differs from the nominal relationship by comparing the actual brake pedal characteristic with a nominal brake pedal characteristic; and calibrating the brake pedal characteristic or the clutch characteristic in such manner that the actual relationship corresponds to the nominal relationship. In addition a working machine with a control unit for carrying out the method is described.

CLUTCH CONTROL METHOD FOR HYBRID VEHICLE WITH DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION

A clutch control method for a hybrid vehicle with a DCT is provided. The method includes determining an energy-saving possible period based on a selection state of shifting ranges, operation states of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal, and the gradient of a road on which the vehicle is driven. An operation current is set for maintaining a clutch, which is configured to engage the first gear, engaged as 0 A in response to determining that a current state of the vehicle is in the energy-saving possible period.

Clutch engagement control system

In a dutch engagement control system for engagement and disengagement of transmission of a rotational force between a mainshaft and a countershaft, when clutch engagement control is executed based on the determination that rotational speeds of both the shafts agree with each other, even if unexpected variations in countershaft rotational speed result from torsion occurring downstream of the countershaft in a drive system and/or the like, smooth engagement control is implemented. A control value of countershaft rotational speed at each time is updated and managed. If a threshold value is exceeded by a difference between a countershaft rotational speed actual measured value and the preceding control value, the threshold value is added to the preceding value to obtain the control value. If the threshold value does not exceed the difference, the actual measured value at this time is set as a control value without any change.

Speed change apparatus for vehicle

In a speed change apparatus for a vehicle, a controller stores as a clutch-disengaging shift spindle angle 1 a position at which a clutch is disengaged when a shift spindle is rotated in a first direction. The controller controls the shift spindle by a first step W1 of rotating the shift spindle in the first direction until a disengaging-side target angle Ta1 is reached; a second step W2 of returning the shift spindle in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and a third step W3 of rotating the shift spindle in the first direction up to the clutch-disengaging shift spindle angle 1 and thereafter rotating the shift spindle in the second direction to return the shift spindle, upon detection of an output from a drum angle sensor, the output corresponding to shallow engagement of dog teeth.

Method for selecting a gear

A method is provided for balancing clutch wear in a dual clutch transmission. The method involves performing the steps of determining which clutch unit of first and second clutch units is subjected to the most accumulated wear and selecting a gear actuated by the other clutch unit during launch of the vehicle.

Clutch Local Peak Temperature Real Time Predictor and Applications

Methods and apparatus for predicting clutch local peak temperatures in real time and controlling engagement of a friction clutch are disclosed. The clutch local peak temperature prediction can take into account machine operating parameters such as clutch control current, clutch shaft speed and clutch load to determine clutch local peak temperatures at hot spots within the friction clutch. A thermal-mechanical finite element analysis model may be developed for the friction clutch and used to generate a surrogate model of the friction clutch that can be used by an electronic control module of the machine to predict the local peak temperature of the friction clutch in real time and control engagement and disengagement of the friction clutch to maintain the local peak temperature below a critical peak temperature above which damage to the components of the friction clutch may occur.

Slip control method and arrangement for a driveline including a continuously variable transmission

A slip control method and arrangement for a driveline including a continuously variable transmission is described herein. The driveline includes a clutch that is so controlled as to slip when a torque higher than the usable torque attempts to pass through. Accordingly, the clutch prevents the prime mover from stalling.

Vehicle power transmission system

A vehicle power transmission system includes: a transmission; a shift actuator; a clutch; a clutch actuator for mutually switching between the transmission and the shutting off of a driving force at the clutch; and a control device being configured to, when having detected that the vehicle is in the travelling state and that the clutch actuator is abnormal by use of the travelling state detection sensor and the CA abnormality detection sensor, control the operation of the shift actuator and cause the selected gear stage in the transmission to be shifted into neutral before the vehicle comes to a stop while shifting the selected gear stage in the transmission into a gear stage having a lower gear ratio.
