AIR SPRING AND BOGIE
An air spring includes: an outer cylindrical member; an inner cylindrical member; a diaphragm which couples the outer and inner cylindrical members and forms an internal space; a stopper assembly disposed in the internal space; and a pivoting mechanism which causes this stopper assembly to pivot on the inner cylindrical member. The stopper assembly has a stopper portion protruding towards the outer cylindrical member, and the outer cylindrical member has as a set four or more protrusion portions provided at a position to face the stopper portion and protruding toward the inner cylindrical member. Each of the protrusion portions belonging to the set is disposed successively and also different in height. Each of the protrusion portions belonging to the set is arranged without having a protrusion portion belonging to the set smallest in height adjacent to a protrusion portion belonging to the set largest in height.
Air spring
An air spring includes a rolling piston having a fastening section. An air spring bellows has at least a first one-sided bead portion and a buffer element. The first bead portion bears against an outer side of the fastening section. The buffer element is fixed onto the outer side of the fastening section via a snap-lock connection.
JOUNCE BUMPER ASSEMBLIES AS WELL AS GAS SPRING ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING SAME
A jounce bumper assembly dimensioned for securement on or along an associated end member of an associated gas spring assembly. The jounce bumper assembly includes a bumper mount dimensioned for securement to the associated end member. A jounce bumper supported on the bumper mount for axial displacement therealong. A biasing element is disposed peripherally about the bumper mount and positioned axially between the jounce bumper and the associated end member. The biasing element has a fully-compressed, solid height that is operative to maintain the jounce bumper assembly in axially-spaced relation to the associated end member under a full jounce load condition. Gas spring assemblies including such a jounce bumper assembly, and suspension systems including one or more of such gas spring assemblies are also included.
End member assemblies and travel-restraint assemblies as well as gas spring assemblies including same
An end member assembly (EMI) includes an end member body (400) and a support column (500). The end member body (400) includes an outer side wall and an inner side wall that together at least partially define an end member reservoir. The inner side wall at least partially defines a passage through the end member body. The support column (500) extends into the passage and is accessible from along opposing ends of the passage. A sealing element can be disposed in fluid communication between the end member body and the support column. An elongated gas damping passage can extend through the end member assembly in fluid communication with the end member reservoir. A gas spring assembly can include a flexible spring member (200) that at least partially defines a spring chamber with an end member (900) and the end member assembly (EMI) on opposing ends thereof. A restraining assembly (1000) can be secured within the spring chamber.
END MEMBER ASSEMBLIES AS WELL AS GAS SPRING ASSEMBLIES AND SUSPENSION SYSTEMS INCLUDING SAME
End member assemblies are dimensioned for securement to an end of a flexible spring member for forming gas spring assemblies. An end member assembly can include an end member body and at least one connector fitting. The end member body includes a base section and a cap section that are secured together at a single flowed-material joint. The base section and the cap section together at least partially define a reservoir chamber within the end member body. The at least one connector fitting is at least partially embedded within the end member body. Gas spring assemblies including at least one end member assembly and suspension systems including at least one gas spring assembly are also included.
AIR SPRING
An air spring includes a rolling piston having a fastening section. An air spring bellows has at least a first one-sided bead portion and a buffer element. The first bead portion bears against an outer side of the fastening section. The buffer element is fixed onto the outer side of the fastening section via a snap-lock connection.
Gas spring assembly and method of assembling same
A gas spring assembly includes an end member, a piston assembly and a flexible sleeve secured therebetween. An end closure secures an end of the flexible sleeve to the piston assembly. A connector fitting connects the end closure to a support post of the piston assembly. The connector fitting includes a fitting passage and a first annular groove. A jounce bumper assembly is supported on the connector fitting. The jounce bumper assembly includes a bumper body and a bumper mount. The bumper mount includes securement pin having a second annular groove. A retaining member is received within the first and second annular grooves such that the jounce bumper assembly can freely rotate relative to the connector fitting while substantially restricting axial displacement of the jounce bumper assembly relative to the piston assembly during such rotation.
End members and gas spring assemblies including same
End members (204) for a gas spring assembly (200) include an end member body (226) that is formed from a polymeric material. The end member body (226) includes an end wall (234) and a bumper mount (258) that is integrally formed with at least the end wall (234) from the polymeric material of the end member body (226). The bumper mount (258) projects axially from the end wall (234) in a first direction. The end member (204) includes a central support post (256) that extends from the end wall (234) in a direction opposite the bumper mount (258). The end member (204) also includes an insert (272) that is at least partially embedded within at least one of the bumper mount (258) and the central support post wall (256). Gas spring assemblies and suspension systems are also included.
