A spacer for connecting a suspension component to a frame of a bicycle includes a spacer body and a flexible portion disposed at one end of the spacer body and configured to exert an axial bias force under compression. The spacer body and the flexible portion form a unitary part.

Systems for damping a solar photovoltaic array tracker

Solar tracker systems include a torque tube, a solar panel attached to the torque tube, and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a housing defining first and second chambers, a first fluid passageway extending between the first and second chambers, and a second fluid passageway extending from the second chamber. A piston is moveable relative to the housing and a valve is positioned within the first chamber and moveable to passively control fluid flow. An active lock includes a shaft extending into the second chamber with a seal attached to the shaft. The shaft is selectively moveable between an unsealed position in which the seal is spaced from a chamber wall and a flow path is defined between the first fluid passageway and the second fluid passageway, and a sealed position in which the seal contacts and seals against the chamber wall to obstruct the flow path.

Methods and apparatus for position sensitive dampening. In one aspect a fluid damper is provided comprising a damper chamber divided by a piston into a primary compression and a primary rebound chamber; a secondary compression chamber in fluid communication with the damper chamber; and an adjustable fluid meter controlling fluid flow out of the secondary compression chamber.

Suspension device

In a suspension device, a first piston is movable in an axial direction inside of a cylinder, and an inner pipe that extends in the axial direction is provided inside of the cylinder. A first rod is coupled to the first piston and inserted into the inner pipe. A second rod is coupled to the first piston and projects outwardly from the cylinder. A second piston is movable in the axial direction while sealing a space between an outer surface of the inner pipe and an inner surface of the cylinder. A first gas chamber is located between the second piston and a closure to be arranged outside of the inner pipe. A second gas chamber is located inside of the inner pipe. The first rod includes a first inner passage that communicates with the second gas chamber, and the second rod includes a second inner passage that communicates with the first inner passage.

A shock absorber includes a tubular outer tube, a tubular inner tube, a rod, a piston, an urging member, and a guide bush. The guide bush is a ring-shaped member arranged along an inner periphery of the outer tube, abuts against a front surface and a rear surface of the inner tube to movably hold the inner tube, and is separated from left and right side surfaces of the inner tube.

SPRING DAMPER BEARING AND SPRING DAMPER BEARING ASSEMBLY

A spring damper bearing includes a bearing cap, a guide ring and a thrust bearing. The bearing cap and the guide ring are connected together and surround the thrust bearing. The bearing cap includes an annular main body portion and a barrier part which is located on an inner circumferential side of the main body portion. The barrier part has an annular shape and includes an outer circumferential end connected to the main body portion and an inner circumferential end which extends out from the outer circumferential end and is away from the main body portion. The inner circumferential end is nearer than the outer circumferential end to the lower axial side and the inner radial side of the spring damper bearing.

Method of manufacturing a monotube shock absorber

A method of manufacturing a shock absorber includes inserting a floating piston into a tube, disposing oil into the tube, and inserting a piston-rod assembly into the tube. The piston-rod assembly has a piston coupled to a rod. The method includes inserting a rod guide assembly into the tube. The rod guide assembly includes a sintered metal rod guide having a seat and a seal disposed in the seat. The rod extends through the seal. The method also includes deforming a wall of the tube into engagement with the sintered metal rod guide to provide a piston-cylinder assembly and inhibit axial movement of the rod guide assembly relative to the tube. The method further includes pressurizing the piston-cylinder assembly and forming a flange portion of the tube over an upper surface of the sintered metal rod guide.
