A damper assembly includes an outer tube and an inner tube disposed in the outer tube defining a fluid space therebetween. The inner tube defines an inner volume. A piston is slidably disposed in the inner tube and divides the inner volume into a rebound working chamber and a compression working chamber. An active rebound valve is fluidly connected to the rebound working chamber and the fluid chamber, and an active compression valve is fluidly connected to the reserve chamber and the compression working chamber. An intake assembly is positioned in the fluid chamber to control the fluid flow through the active rebound valve and into the compression working chamber during a rebound stroke and to control fluid flow from the compression working chamber through the active compression valve and into the rebound working chamber during a compression stroke.

A damper includes a pressure tube extending about a longitudinal axis and defining an inner volume. The damper includes a piston attached to a piston rod and slidably disposed within the pressure tube. The piston divides the inner volume of the pressure tube into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. The damper includes a fluid connector having a first wall and a second wall, each elongated along the longitudinal axis and sealed to the pressure tube. The fluid connector has a third wall elongated along the longitudinal axis and extending from the first wall to the second wall. The pressure tube defines an opening at the first working chamber, and the third wall of the fluid connector defines an opening spaced from the opening of the pressure tube. The first wall, the second wall, and the third wall define a passage extending from the opening of the pressure tube to the opening of the third wall.

Adjustable vibration damper

An adjustable vibration damper includes at least one adjustable damping valve, with a piston at a piston rod that divides a cylinder into a work chamber on the piston rod side and a work chamber on the side remote of the piston rod. The cylinder is at least partially enclosed by an intermediate tube that forms a fluid connection between one of the work chambers and the adjustable damping valve. A hydraulic apparatus is connected to the fluid connection of the one work chamber via a first line and to the other work chamber via a second line.

Double tube damper with structural pressure tube

The present disclosure relates to a shock absorber having a pressure tube which defines a fluid chamber, and a piston assembly. The piston assembly is disposed within the fluid chamber and divides the fluid chamber into upper and lower working chambers. A reserve tube surrounds the pressure tube to define a reservoir chamber between the reserve tube and the pressure tube. The pressure tube is disposed between a rod guide assembly and a lower mount. A structural integrity of the pressure tube is greater than a structural integrity of the reserve tube, and the pressure tube further operates as a principal load bearing component for the shock absorber.

CYLINDER DEVICE
20170218984 · 2017-08-03 · ·

An object is to provide a cylinder device which can be used successfully over a long period of time. The cylinder device includes a cylinder, a piston, an external cylinder, a tank and first piping. The piston is slidably inserted into the cylinder. The piston divides an interior of the cylinder into a rod-side chamber and a piston-side chamber. The external cylinder is disposed outside the cylinder and covers the cylinder. The tank is formed in a space between the cylinder and the external cylinder and stores an operating fluid. The first piping constitutes part of a first passage through which passes the operating fluid supplied to and discharged from the rod-side chamber or the piston-side chamber. The first piping has two ends one of which has a larger outer diameter than the other end. The first piping is disposed in the tank.

Pre-assembled piston accumulator insert device

A damper with inner and outer tubes and a piston disposed within the inner tube to define first and second working chambers. A fluid transport chamber is positioned between the inner and outer tubes. A collector chamber is positioned outside the outer tube. An intake valve assembly, abutting one end of the inner tube, is positioned inside the outer tube. An accumulator insert with an open end abutting the intake valve assembly is positioned inside the outer tube. The accumulator insert includes an accumulator sleeve, a floating piston, and a pressurized chamber. The floating piston is disposed inside the accumulator sleeve and the pressurized chamber is positioned between the floating piston and a closed end of the accumulator sleeve. An accumulation chamber is positioned between the intake valve assembly and the floating piston and the accumulator sleeve includes one or more apertures arranged in fluid communication with the collector chamber.

In a shock absorber, an outer case made of resin is disposed so as to cover an inner case made of metal, and the outer case forms a reservoir chamber for storing the hydraulic fluid between the outer case and the inner case. The outer case is supported by the inner case via protrusions, which are formed on either one of the outer peripheral surface of the inner case and the inner peripheral surface of the outer case so as to protrude toward and abut the other one of the outer peripheral surface of the inner case and the inner peripheral surface of the outer case.
