The stopper mechanism restricts an angle of relative rotation between the first rotor and the second rotor to a predetermined angular range. The stopper mechanism includes a cutout and a stop pin. The cutout is provided in the flange of the second rotor. The stop pin is fixed to the first rotor. The torque limiter unit includes a friction plate having an annular shape. The annular friction plate is fixed at an inner peripheral part thereof to an outer peripheral part of first rotor or the second rotor by a fixation member. The fixation member is fastened in a state of penetrating the cutout of the flange.

Devices, systems, and methods for damping vibration of a structural component or power-transmission shafts are disclosed. Damping devices, systems, and methods utilize a lightweight damping device, which is targeted at reducing the resonant amplitude of the first several beaming modes and/or torsional modes of bending a structural component comprising a hollow shaft or strut. The damping device includes a stiff concentric tube with damping elements disposed at each end. The device is inserted within the original structural component or shaft and attached thereto. When the primary shaft undergoes bending due to modal characteristics, the damping elements react to dissipate energy, which effectively reduces the resonant amplitude.

Torsional vibration damper

A torsional vibration damper comprising an input part arranged about an axis of rotation and an output part arranged such that it can rotate relative to same, about the axis of rotation and against the effect of a spring unit is provided. The spring unit is impacted in the peripheral direction respectively on the input side and the output side, and a torque-limiting unit, including a flange part impacting the spring unit on the output side and lateral parts arranged on both sides of the flange part and forming a frictional connection with same by means of an axial clamping, is arranged between the spring unit and a driven part of the output part. The flange part is clamped between a first and a second lateral part by a disc spring axially supported on a counter bearing of the first lateral part and axially pretensioning the second lateral par against the flange part.

DAMPER APPARATUS

A friction generating mechanism of a damper apparatus includes a bushing in contact with an annular friction surface of a spline hub, and a cone spring arranged in a compressed state between a retaining plate and the bushing. A first load support surface of the bushing and a second load support surface of the retaining plate have step portions recessed so as to respectively receive an outer peripheral edge and an inner peripheral edge of the cone spring, when the taper of the cone spring is reversed. The radial positions of boundaries of the step portions are in a relationship of D1>D2, which inhibits the cone spring from being reversed even when an excessive load in the axial direction is input.
