Pipette calibration and volume offset mechanism
A pipette calibration and volume offset mechanism. The calibration and volume offset mechanism is provided to facilitate user selectable calibration or volume offset operations of a pipette to which the calibration and volume offset mechanism is installed, through axial displacement of a threaded element that effectively moves the home position of the pipette. An offset counter of the calibration and volume offset mechanism is rotationally coupled to the threaded element during a volume offset operation to indicate offset magnitude, but decoupled from threaded element during a calibration or recalibration operation.
VEHICLE DRIVE TRANSMISSION APPARATUS
A counter gear mechanism includes: a fifth gear in mesh with a third gear; a sixth gear in mesh with a fourth gear; and a seventh gear in mesh with a differential input gear. The seventh gear is disposed between the fifth gear and the sixth gear in an axial direction. A switching mechanism is disposed between the third gear and the fourth gear in the axial direction. The switching mechanism makes switching among: a state in which the third gear is coupled to a second input member; a state in which the fourth gear is coupled to the second input member; and a state in which the third gear and the fourth gear are decoupled from the second input member. This structure is able to make an entirety of an apparatus compact in size in the axial direction when the apparatus includes the switching mechanism to change the speed ratio between the second input member, which is drivingly coupled to an internal combustion engine, and output members.
Distributed Consent Protecting Data Across Systems And Services
Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure relate to generation and implementation of a new security protocol that is used to secure common data access transactions across distributed network examples. An exemplary proof of verification protocol is disclosed that implements consensus security mechanisms across a plurality of distributed nodes, which may be utilized to validate owners of data in common data access transactions. Extending principles of blockchain security to common data access transactions and Internet of Things (IoT) networking requires a solution that: improves speed in transactional processing; reduces computational complexity; and presents efficient, secure and repeatable validation for owners of data in distributed networking environments. An exemplary proof of verification protocol provides such technical advantages by validating both user-specific data for a subscriber of an application/service and session data for user activity (past and present) within the application/service.

Ramp-on-ramp overriding clutch arrangement
A clutch arrangement having a first coupler mounted for rotation with a first input gear, a second coupler mounted for rotation with a second input gear, and an input-gear selector mounted for rotation with an input shaft and positioned between the first and second couplers. The input-gear selector is movable on the input shaft relative to the first and second couplers. Engagement of the input-gear selector with the first coupler drives rotation of the first input gear with rotation of the input shaft, and engagement of the input-gear selector with the second coupler drives rotation of the second input gear with rotation of the input shaft.
Parking brake for an electric vehicle with multi-speed gearbox
A commercial vehicle with at least one driven axle, at least one service brake, at least one propulsion engine, and wheels characterized in that the parking brake function of the vehicle is solved by a bistable locking means acting on both wheels. At least one multi-speed gearbox is provided to concurrently activate a first gear stage and a second gear stage having different ratios.
DRIVE DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVE TRAIN OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A drive device (7) for a motor vehicle drive train of an electric vehicle has a plurality of electric machines (12, 13, 14) and a transmission, where different transmission ratios between an input shaft and an output side can be selected. In this case, a first electric machine (13) is connected to the input shaft of the transmission or can be connected thereto, and the output side of the transmission is coupled to at least one output drive (9, 10), which is used in the motor vehicle drive train to connect a respective drive axle of the electric vehicle. In order to achieve the highest possible driving comfort by means of this drive device (7), a second electric machine (14) is also permanently connected to the output side.
Shift-drum speed change operation mechanism
A fork guide groove of a drum member guides a shift fork so that a shifter member is in a reference position not engaged with first and second speed change members when the drum member is placed in a neutral position, is movable between a first speed-change position engaged with the first speed-change member and the reference position when the drum member is placed in a first operational position, and is movable between a second speed-change position engaged with the second speed-change member and the reference position when the drum member is placed in a second operational position. A slider guide groove of the drum member guides a slider member supported by a fork shaft in an axially movable manner so as not to obstruct movement of the shifter member between the reference position and the first speed-change position when the drum member is placed in the first operational position.
