Synchronization system for distributed electromechanical actuation system
A mechanical synchronization device for a distributed system. A plurality of actuators actuate movement of control surface components of an aircraft. Each actuator has a first end coupled to a structure of the aircraft and a second end coupled to a control surface component, and a drive path from a motion provider to the control surface component, the control surface component being configured to move along the respective drive path. A power module controller is operable to simultaneously output motor drive power from a power module through an electrical bus to at least two of the motion providers in a synchronous or nearly synchronous manner to actuate movement of control surface components. The mechanical synchronization device is between at least two of the actuators and transfers torque between the actuators to maintain symmetry between the actuators. A load limiting device may limit the power transferred through the mechanical synchronization device.
HOUSING FOR ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE
A housing for an electric power steering device that has an electric motor, a speed reduction mechanism, a ball screw mechanism, and a rack bar. The housing has a first housing having a first end portion covering a part of the rack bar and a second end portion with a portion accommodating at least a part of the speed reduction mechanism. The first housing includes a rack bar insertion hole portion; an electric motor shaft insertion hole portion having a cylindrical shape on a radially outer side of the rack bar insertion hole portion, through which an electric motor shaft is inserted; and a fastening portion having an annular shape overlapping with an inner peripheral surface of the electric motor shaft insertion hole portion along the longitudinal direction of the rack bar when an axis extending in the rack bar longitudinal direction is viewed from a radially outer side.
Press Machine With Modular Linear Actuator System
A linear-actuated press machine comprises a press ram with a tool, a first linear actuator having a first actuator rod, a second line actuator having a second linear actuator rod, a high-speed motor coupled to the first linear actuator for providing a high-speed condition on the press ram, a first high-torque motor coupled to the first linear actuator, and a second high-torque motor coupled to the second linear actuator. The press machine (i) advances the tool toward the part by operation of the high-speed motor associated with the first linear actuator, (ii) forms the part with the tool by simultaneous operation of the first high-torque motor associated with the first linear actuator and the second high-torque motor associated with the second linear actuator, and (iii) retracts the tool from the part by operation of the high-speed motor associated with the first linear actuator.
Steering actuators for vehicles
Steering actuators for vehicles are described herein. An example actuator includes a rack to be coupled to a knuckle of a vehicle, a ball nut coupled to the rack, a ring gear coupled to the ball nut, and a motor with a pinion engaged with the ring gear. The motor is to rotate the ball nut, via the pinion and the ring gear, to move the rack linearly.
ELECTRIC CYLINDER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF ELECTRIC CYLINDER
An electric cylinder system includes: a rod; a ball screw mechanism; a nut connected to the rod; a cylindrical body including a contact portion, the contact portion configured to be abutting the nut making the linear motion, the cylindrical body configured to support the ball screw mechanism in such a manner that the ball screw mechanism is displaceable in the axis direction of the ball screw; a strain detector fixed to the cylindrical body and configured to detect a value corresponding to a displacement of the ball screw mechanism; and a control section configured to make the ball screw mechanism be displaced by making the nut abut against the contact portion, and configured to detect an abnormality of the strain detector based on the value detected by the strain detector according to the displacement of the ball screw mechanism.
STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
According to the present embodiments, it is possible to ensure normal steering and the driver's safety by preventing jumping without proper engagement between the teeth of the pulley and the belt.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ACTUATOR WITH INTEGRATED FAIL-OPERATIONAL MECHANISM
Some embodiments relate to an electro-mechanical actuator that includes a screw, structurally segregated (split) housings, first and second nuts coupled to the screw, a sensor assembly, a plurality of motors, and a controller. The first nut is coupled to a first mounting point, and the second nut is coupled to a second mounting point. The sensor assembly may generate signals indicative of (e.g., relative) positions of left and right units of the actuator or positions of the first nut and the second nut on the screw. The controller controls the motors based on the signals generated by the sensor assembly. The motors may rotate each nut about a screw axis of the screw. This rotation results in one or both nuts moving along the screw. Movement between the first nut and the second nut along the screw adjusts a distance between the first mounting point and the second mounting point.
Steer-by-wire steering system having a spindle drive
A spindle drive (20) for an actuator of a steer-by-wire steering system (10). The spindle drive has a linearly displaceable threaded spindle (27). The spindle drive (20) is in the form of a roller screw drive. The roller screw drive has a first efficiency in the driving direction and a second different efficiency in the reverse-driving direction.
Electric booster for vehicle
An electric booster for a vehicle includes a housing having a cylinder structure capable of supporting a hydraulic pressure formed therein; a screw bolt installed in the housing; a screw nut screwed to the screw bolt; a gear unit configured to transfer a rotational force of a motor to the screw nut; a rotation preventing unit coupled with the screw bolt, and configured to prevent rotation of the screw bolt by being brought into contact with the housing; and a piston moved by being pressed by the screw bolt, and configured to form a hydraulic pressure in the housing.
STEERING DEVICE
Provided is a steering device including a lock nut that fixes an outer race of a turning nut threadably engaged with a rack bar. A loosening prevention protruding portion formed on a lock nut main body is brought into contact with a radial-direction abutting portion to prevent loosening of the lock nut with a frictional force. At the same time, a lock nut recessed portion for reducing mechanical stiffness is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the loosening prevention protruding portion so that an external force acting from the outer race is buffered by the lock nut recessed portion. In this manner, a decrease in contact area between the loosening prevention protruding portion and the radial-direction abutting portion is reduced.
