An adjustment linkage for lifting the shelf against the weight of feed in the hopper includes a first lift screw and a second lift screw each for applying a lifting force to the elongate adjustment member located at spaced positions from the end walls of the hopper. Each of the screws includes a gear box with a shaft connected between the two gear boxes to communicate drive therebetween for simultaneous operation of the lift screws by a hand crank connected to one at the top of the feed in the hopper.

The RET adjuster includes a drive assembly with a rotatable drive member operatively connected to a phase shifter assembly such that rotation of the drive member adjusts the phase shifter assembly. A first connector is coupled to the drive member where the first connector occupies a rest position when the drive member is at rest. A drive system has a second connector occupying a rest position when the drive system is at rest where the second connector is releasably engageable with the first connector such that actuation of the drive system rotates the drive member. A mechanical calibration system locates the second connector at the second rest position.

Methods and devices are provided for retracting a cutting assembly in the event of a failure on a motorized electrosurgical device. For example, a surgical device is provided with a handle that has an elongate shaft assembly with first and second jaws for engaging tissue. A cutting assembly is included in the surgical device that cuts tissue engaged between the first and second jaws. The surgical device also includes a drive shaft that extends from the handle through the elongate shaft and moves the cutting assembly relative to the first and second jaws, and a motorized gear assembly that causes movement of the drive shaft. In an exemplary embodiment, the elongate shaft assembly is detachable from the handle such that, when detached, the drive shaft can be manually retracted relative to the elongate shaft to retract the cutting assembly from to the first and second jaws.
