A steering device includes a rolling-element bearing that rotationally supports a rotating member in a housing. The rolling-element bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, first rolling elements, and second rolling elements. The first rolling elements and second rolling elements are disposed in parallel in the axial direction between the inner ring and the outer ring. The inner ring includes a first split race having a first inner peripheral track surface and a second split race having a second inner peripheral track surface. The steering device further includes a fixing structure configured to fix the rolling-element bearing to the outer periphery of the rotating member in a state where a load is applied to the first split race, the first rolling element, the outer ring, the second rolling element, and the second split race.

Steer-by-wire steering gear with coupling rod supported on a pressure piece

A steering gear for a steer-by-wire steering system of a motor vehicle may include a coupling rod which is supported in a steering gear housing and on which a threaded spindle is formed, with the threaded spindle being surrounded by a spindle nut. The threaded spindle and the spindle nut may be part of a helical gearing, and the coupling rod is movable along a longitudinal axis by way of the helical gearing. The coupling rod is movably mounted in the steering gear housing along the longitudinal axis by way of a pressure piece having two bearing elements arranged on opposite sides of the coupling rod in a circumferential direction of the longitudinal axis.

An electric actuator comprises a housing and an output shaft reciprocatingly received by the housing. There is a screw assembly disposed within the housing and coupled to the output shaft. The screw assembly includes a plurality of annular rollers and a central screw received by the annular rollers. The annular rollers are rotatable about the central screw. There is a motor which includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor has an inner bore which engages the annular rollers. Rotation of the rotor causes the central screw to translate axially relative to the rotor and the output shaft to reciprocate relative to the housing.

BALL SCREW WITH A SUPPORT DEVICE

A ball screw with a support device includes: a screw; a nut unit movably mounted on the screw; a support device including: a first support seat and a second support seat which are movably mounted on the screw and located at two sides of the nut unit; and a speed control device capable of presetting a speed of the nut unit and the first and second support seats, wherein the speed of the nut unit is V.sub.NT, the speed of the first and second support seats is V.sub.SUP, and they satisfy the relation: 0<V.sub.SUP/V.sub.NT<. When the two ends of the screw are used as a fixing end and a support end, respectively, the ball screw can have an optimized critical rotation speed, which consequently improves the work efficiency of the ball screw.

A ball screw drive includes a lead screw for converting an auxiliary torque produced by an electric motor into an auxiliary translational force acting on a steering rack in a steering system of a motor vehicle. One end of the lead screw and one end of the steering rack are each connected to a track rod via an axial link, and the ball screw drive has a ball nut mounted in a housing with a fixed bearing. In order to withstand strong lateral loads or lateral forces coming from the track rod or rods and acting in the radial direction there is provided between the end of the lead screw connected to the track rod and the ball screw drive a plain bearing element which supports the lead screw radially against the housing. The support is provided by an adjustable radial clearance, and the plain bearing element is a sleeve.
