Electromagnetic actuator with drive member for a vehicle driveline component
A vehicle differential may have multiple gears and include a coil, a drive member movable in response to a magnetic field generated by the coil, with the drive member being movable between a first position and a second position. The drive member has an axis and includes a first body that is magnetically responsive, a second body coupled to the first body, an axis, an axially forward face and a stop surface axially spaced from the forward face, where the stop surface is arranged to limit movement of the drive member away from the first position. A lock member is engaged and driven by the forward face of the drive member to engage a gear of the differential when the drive member is in the second position, and the lock member is adapted to be disengaged from the gear when the drive member is in the first position.
DUAL SENSOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A DIFFERENTIAL DISCONNECT AXLE ASSEMBLY
Methods and systems for a locking differential are provided. The locking differential system includes an electromagnetic solenoid actuator configured to induce locking and unlocking of the differential and a circuit board assembly designed to programmatically control the locking and unlocking functionality. The circuit board assembly includes a multi-sensor sub-assembly having two or more sensor configured to monitor a position of the electromagnetic solenoid actuator.
DRIVETRAIN COMPONENT
A drivetrain component provides an electronically controlled, overrunning drivetrain disconnect, such as a differential with different operating modes. The drivetrain component includes a case having an annular wall portion with a plurality of pockets in one side. The carrier is supported for movement relative to and independently of the case. The carrier includes a notch plate. The differential gear set has a pinion shaft tied to the carrier, pinion gears mounted on the pinion shaft, differential gears engaging the pinion gears, and differential gear shafts connected to the differential gears. The drivetrain component includes a first locking structure and a second locking structure. Both the first and second locking structures are on the same side of the notch plate. The first locking structure couples the case to the carrier for torque transmission from the case to the carrier in a first direction only, wherein the first locking structure does not inhibit carrier rotation in a second direction.
WHEEL DRIVING DEVICE
Provided is a wheel driving device in which a lock operation mechanism can be disposed without increasing the width of a housing. In a wheel driving device, the housing includes support walls and a peripheral wall continuous to the support walls, a rotary shaft that rotatably supports a diff-lock fork around the axis orthogonal to the rotation axis of the differential gear is provided at a boundary between the peripheral wall and one of the support walls, the diff-lock fork includes one end portion extending along the support wall and the other end portion extending along the peripheral wall, the one end portion is engaged with a lock slider of the differential gear, and the other end portion is engaged with an actuator installed on the peripheral wall.
TRANSMISSION SYSTEM COMPRISING A REDUCTION DEVICE AND A DIFFERENTIAL DRIVE DEVICE
A motor vehicle transmission system includes a reduction device having at least an output shaft including a first gearwheel and a second gearwheel. A differential drive device is configured to distribute the torque from the reduction device to two half-shafts. The differential drive device includes a coupling device which, in a coupled position, transmits torque between a first element and a second element of the differential drive device, the coupling device further including an actuator. A radial plane, orthogonal to the axes X and W, passes through the first gearwheel and through the coupling device.
Differential
A differential with a clutch is provided with: a differential gear set; a dividable casing defining a chamber accommodating the clutch and the differential gear set; a first member of the casing formed in a unitary body and including an end wall having a window penetrating the end wall, a boss portion projecting axially outward from the end wall, a side wall around the axis and a flange extending radially outward for receiving the torque; a second member of the casing fixed with the side wall to close the chamber; an axially movable clutch member axially movable including a leg portion disposed in the window and transmitting the torque from the end wall to the differential gear set; and an actuator having an axially outward offset from the flange and including a plunger abutting on the leg portion and driven axially by the actuator to thrust the clutch member.
VEHICLE AND AXLE THEREOF
An axle includes: a driven disc, an inner peripheral surface of the driven disc being a first contact surface; a half shaft connector in transmission with the driven disc, the half shaft connector including a second contact surface on its outer periphery, one of the first contact surface and the second contact surface being a circular ring surface, and the other thereof being a polygonal surface; and a differential lock device including rolling members, a rolling holder, a switching driving member, a switching driven member and a second elastic reset mechanism, a plurality of rolling members being arranged in one-to-one correspondence with a plurality of faces of the polygonal surface, and the switching driving member selectively driving the switching driven member to move, to make the rolling members move to an engaged position.
DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM
A differential system includes a differential and a differential disconnect mechanism. The differential includes an outer differential housing and an inner differential housing. The differential disconnect mechanism includes a disconnect clutch, first end face teeth and second end face teeth. The first end face teeth are disposed between the outer differential housing and the inner differential housing and are movably connected with the outer differential housing so that the first end face teeth can move axially and rotate synchronously relative to the outer differential housing.
