Elastomer seal spring
The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities. The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within a conductive female housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a disk ferrule assembly, pressing the disk ferrule assembly, with a wire shield, against a conductive female outer housing, providing a grounding scheme for the connector assembly. The seal spring also seals against the female outer housing and a wire.
Vapor permeable water and fire-resistant expansion joint seal with internal wave pattern
The present disclosure relates generally to systems for providing a durable water-resistant and fire-resistant foam-based seal in the joint between adjacent panels. A fire-resistant and water-resistant expansion joint seal is provided which includes one or more foam members and a plurality of intumescent members within the foam member or members to provide a spring recovery force and fire resistance.
Composite Articles of Lattice Reinforced Elastomers
A composite article includes a lattice and an elastomeric section. The lattice includes a plurality of members that form an open-mesh frame defining a plurality of voids between the adjacent members of the frame. The elastomeric section is formed of an elastomer that is disposed about the lattice and within the voids of the lattice. The composite article may be a circular gasket, a gasket with a grip, a rectangular gasket, a vessel cap, a flask stand, and a handle for a hand tool.
A SEAL AND A TUBULAR HEAT EXCHANGER USING SUCH SEAL
A seal including a first portion having a first width that extends in a radial direction of the seal, a second portion that is joined with the first portion and having a second width that is smaller than the first width, and a first recess that is located in the first portion to reduce a width expansion of the first portion when the seal is compressed in an axial direction of the seal.
SEAL, AIRCRAFT INCLUDING THE SEAL, AND METHODS THEREFOR
A seal for sealing a space between a first structure and second structure. The seal includes a seal base configured to couple with the first structure so as to form a respective seal with the first structure, a resilient lattice body coupled to the seal base, and a cover. The cover includes an inner surface coupled to the resilient lattice body in an opposing relationship relative to the seal base so that the cover moves towards and away from the seal base in a biasing direction of the resilient lattice body, and a bulbous outer surface configured to engage the second structure so as to form a respective seal with the second structure.
BOTTOM SEAL FOR USE WITH RV SLIDE OUT ROOMS
A bottom seal assembly (500) is disclosed for use with mobile living quarters such as an RV or residential vehicle (202). The bottom seal assembly (500) can include a jacket (514) connectable to a frame of the RV (505). The jacket (514) includes a main body (520), and a pair of wipes (528, 530) extending in a parallel configuration and directed toward a slide-out room floor (503). A bight portion (529) connects together the two wipes (528, 530) so as to form a gutter (534) for carrying off water and debris. A bottom wipe (524) extends outwardly from a base (522) of the main body (520). A spacer leg (532) extends inwardly from the jacket (514) and is used to appropriately position rollers (512) or wear bars (612), which can be utilized to smoothly move the room floor (503) between a raised and lowered position.
Annular seals
An annular seal including a body defining a central lumen and a weakened portion disposed around the central lumen. In an embodiment, the weakened portion includes at least one aperture or a plurality of apertures. In a further embodiment, the apertures may be identical to one another. An annular seal including a body defining a central lumen bounded by a sidewall, wherein the body has a dual-elastic modulus profile including a first elastic modulus, S.sub.1, as measured along the sidewall prior to assembly with an inner component, and a second elastic modulus, S.sub.2, as measured along the sidewall after assembly with the inner component, and wherein the first elastic modulus is less than the second elastic modulus.
SEALING GASKET WITH TWO DEFORMATION SPACES
A sealing gasket with two deformation spaces is configured to be mounted in a cup-shaped structure and has a through bore that opens on the top and bottom sides of the sealing gasket. The sealing gasket is characterized in that: an inner deformation space and an outer deformation space extend downward into the top side of the sealing gasket, the inner deformation space is adjacent to the through bore such that an inner deformable portion is formed between the inner deformation space and the through bore, and the outer deformation space is adjacent to the outer wall of the sealing gasket such that the outer wall forms an outer deformable portion corresponding to the outer deformation space. The two deformation spaces provide the sealing gasket with enhanced deformability to adapt to a through hole whose diameter may vary within engineering tolerances.
WATER-BLOCKING STRIP FOR SURFACE FITTING INSTALLATION
A water-blocking strip for surface fitting installation includes a strip-shaped main body (1); and closed protrusions (2) continuously distributed on a surface of the strip-shaped main body (1), such that installation is tightly fitted and water-blocking. The design of the closed protrusions continuously distributed on the surface of the water-blocking strip is such that even using a small force, an object to be installed can be caused to be closely fitted to a wall surface and no gap is prone to be formed therebetween, achieving a better waterproofing and water-blocking effect.
Vapor-permeable water and fire-resistant expansion joint seal with shaped springing members
The present disclosure relates generally to systems for providing a durable water-resistant and fire-resistant foam-based seal in the joint between adjacent panels. A fire-resistant and water-resistant expansion joint seal is provided which includes one or more foam members and a plurality of intumescent members interspersed within the foam member or members to provide a spring recovery force and fire resistance.
