Steering shaft and method of manufacturing steering shaft
A steering shaft according to an aspect of the present invention includes an upper shaft, a lower shaft, and a seal cap. The seal cap includes a seal which comes into close contact with an inner peripheral surface of the upper shaft and a closure which bulges upward with respect to the seal. The closure is plastically deformed downward, and thus, the seal cap is held in an upper end opening portion in a state where the seal is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the upper shaft.
SEAL RING
A seal ring includes: a static seal seat arranged inside the seal ring in a radial direction; and two sealing lips arranged outside the seal seat in the radial direction, the two sealing lips being axial sealing lips, one sealing lip of the axial sealing lips being a radially inner first and an other sealing lip of the axial sealing lips being a radially outer second axial sealing lip, the second axial sealing lip enclosing the first axial sealing lip at a radial distance on an outer circumference. The first axial sealing lip has greater flexibility in the radial direction than the second axial sealing lip. The second axial sealing lip has a surface structure radially externally on a side facing radially away from the first axial sealing lip, which surface structure is aerodynamically active during an intended use of the seal ring, so as to swirl an air layer.
Sealing device
A sealing apparatus 1 is provided with a reinforcing ring 10 that is a member that is annular around an axis x, an elastic-body portion 20 that is formed from an elastic body that is annular around the axis x, an annular garter spring 30, and a lip-pressing ring 40 that is an annular member. The lip-pressing ring 40 is configured so that a seal lip 21 can be inserted into a space on an inner-periphery side thereof, and a value of an inner diameter thereof is configured to be a size no less than a value of an outer diameter of an annular portion that is at least a portion on an outer-periphery side of the seal lip 21. The sealing apparatus can suppress a decrease in tracking a rotary shaft.
Sealing device
A sealing apparatus 1 is provided with a reinforcing ring 10 that is a member that is annular around an axis x, an elastic-body portion 20 that is formed from an elastic body that is annular around the axis x, an annular garter spring 30, and a lip-pressing ring 40 that is an annular member. The lip-pressing ring 40 is configured so that a seal lip 21 can be inserted into a space on an inner-periphery side thereof, and a value of an inner diameter thereof is configured to be a size no less than a value of an outer diameter of an annular portion that is at least a portion on an outer-periphery side of the seal lip 21. The sealing apparatus can suppress a decrease in tracking a rotary shaft.
THRUST BEARING SEAL FOR THIN WING MULTI SLICE RGA
A thrust bearing seal for radially sealing a gap between a first component and a second component. The seal includes an external sealing cap that extends circumferentially around an outer circumferential surface of at least a section of said first component and a projection that extends radially inwardly from said external sealing cap and into said gap.
Sealing device and manufacturing method therefor
A sealing device seals a rod having a cylindrical part and a cylindrical guide that guides reciprocation of the rod in an axial direction of the rod. The sealing device includes an elastic ring formed of an elastic material, and a rigid ring formed of a rigid material fixed to the elastic ring for reinforcing the elastic ring. The elastic ring includes a lip with which an outer peripheral surface of the rod is in slidable contact. The rigid ring includes a rigid-ring cylindrical part located radially outside an end portion of the guide. The rigid-ring cylindrical part includes multiple hook hasps engaged into at least one recess formed on an outer peripheral surface of the guide. Each of the multiple hook hasps includes a root portion and a distal end portion located radially inward of the root portion and fitted into the recess. A thin portion is formed at the root portion of the hook hasp, the thin portion being thinner than other parts of the hook hasp.
Seal ring and seal structure
A seal ring is provided for sealing a rotating shaft. The seal ring has an outer wall and an inner wall. The outer wall includes one or more external ribs, and the external ribs are disposed along a circumferential direction of the outer wall. The inner wall includes one or more seal contact parts extending inwards from the inner wall, and the seal contact parts are disposed along a circumferential direction of the inner wall. The seal ring is made of an elastic material.

A seal ring is provided for sealing a rotating shaft. The seal ring has an outer wall and an inner wall. The outer wall includes one or more external ribs, and the external ribs are disposed along a circumferential direction of the outer wall. An axle seal is provided and includes a seal element having a seal element top, a seal element bottom, a seal element mounting lip which extends downwardly from the seal element bottom, and a seal element sleeve, wherein the seal element sleeve is securely and sealingly associated with the seal element mounting lip, and wherein the seal element includes a circumferential outer edge portion which extends outwardly from at least one of seal element mounting lip and the seal element sleeve to form a circumferential lip around the seal element sleeve and wherein the seal element defines a seal element opening which communicates the seal element top with the seal element bottom.
