SHAFT SEAL MECHANISM
A shaft seal mechanism (11) that blocks a fluid (G) flowing within a ring-shaped space (14) is equipped with: a ring-shaped seal housing (21) disposed on a fixed section (12); a plurality of thin-plate seal pieces (22) that are secured to the seal housing (21), are in sliding contact with a rotating shaft (13), and are layered in a ring shape; a ring-shaped high-pressure-side plate (25) that forms a high-pressure-side gap (δH) between itself and the seal housing (21); a ring-shaped low-pressure-side plate (26) that forms a low-pressure-side gap (δL) between the seal housing (21) and the thin-plate seal pieces (22); stepped sections (31, 32) that are formed on side edge sections (22c, 22d) of the thin-plate seal pieces (22); and locking sections (25b, 26b) that lock the stepped sections (31, 32).
Spherical bearing with annular seal having an auxiliary seal leg extending therefrom
A seal for a spherical bearing has an annular body portion having an arcuate cross section extending between a first axial end and a second axial end. The second axial end is positioned radially outward from the first axial end. The seal includes retaining ring positioned proximate the second end. The seal includes a scraper seal extending radially inward from the second end.

Sealing member with integrally formed ribs
A sealing assembly having a seal casing. A decreased diameter portion extends inboard from at least a portion of a first end portion of the substantially cylindrical portion and an axially extending portion extends inboard from at least a portion of a second end portion of the decreased diameter portion of the casing. One or more first sealing portions having one or more static sealing ribs extend from at least a portion of an outer surface of the substantially cylindrical portion. One or more second sealing portions are integrally connected to at least a portion of the decreased diameter portion, the axially extending portion and/or an inner surface of the substantially cylindrical portion. The one or more second sealing portions have a retaining member sealing surface with one or more sealing member retention ribs extending from at least a portion of an outer surface of the retaining member sealing surface.
Method of Making a Valve Stem Seal with Formable Retainer Tabs
A method for making a valve stem seal, comprising the steps of providing a metal retainer having a top portion and a body portion. The body portion having a first section and a second section. In a first state, the first section of the body portion is cylindrical and the second section of the body portion is cone shaped. Providing a hollow mold. Inserting the metal retainer into the outer mold piece, inserting the inner mold piece into the metal retainer, and then securing the inner and outer mold pieces to each other. Filling a cavity around the top portion of the metal retainer with an elastomeric compound. Removing the metal retainer and the formed rubber sealing element from the mold pieces, and pressing downward over the formed valve stem seal to compress the second section of the body portion radially inwardly.
Shaft-cylinder assembly for high temperature operation
The present invention provides a shaft-cylinder assembly for high-temperature operation comprising a pair of first and second dynamic sealing members having a helical coiled seal ring structure configured to be in contact with the shaft for providing dynamic sealing function in the cylinder; and a cylindrical cooling jacket configured to circumferentially surround the dynamic sealing members such that a cavity is defined between the dynamic sealing members inside the cooling jacket; wherein the cooling jacket comprises one or more inflow cooling channels and one or more outflow cooling channels configured to communicating with the cavity and circulating a cooling fluid through the cavity for moving heat away from the dynamic sealing members.
GASKET AND DECELERATING CLUTCH APPARATUS OF A WASHING MACHINE
A self-cleaning drum washing machine, comprises a coaxial drum and outer tub. Cleaning particles are arranged between the drum and the outer tub. Structures between the drum and the outer tub opposite to each other are smooth. A flange is fixedly connected to the bottom of the drum; the outer portion of the flange has a smooth structure or an enclosed cavity is arranged on the outer portion of the drum bottom; the flange is arranged in the cavity; a shaft hole is arranged at the center of the cavity; and a drum shaft sticks into the cavity through the shaft hole and is connected to the flange. The smooth structures go against the attachment of dirt, so that the outer wall of the drum and the inner wall of the outer tub can be conveniently cleaned by the cleaning particles.
Sealing ring
A sealing ring includes: a lip ring, with at least one sealing lip; and a supporting ring. The lip ring and the supporting ring are connected to one another. The lip ring and the supporting ring each are formed from an elastomeric material. A modulus of elasticity of the lip ring is smaller than a modulus of elasticity of the supporting ring.
Bearing seal and rolling bearing with seal
A bearing seal is fitted into a seal groove formed in an outer race, and firmly mounted to the outer race. First detent ribs and second detent ribs are formed on both surfaces of one side of a seal base plate made of rubber and having the shape of a strip. When one side of the seal base plate is fitted into the seal groove formed in an inner diameter surface of the outer race, the first detent ribs and second detent ribs come into elastic contact with the side surfaces of the seal groove, respectively, so as to prevent the bearing seal from being pulled out of the seal groove.
