WASTEGATE WITH REDUCED LEAKAGE CURRENT
The present invention relates to valves for gas engines, in particular for wastegates arranged upstream of a turbocharger. Accordingly, a valve for a gas engine, is suggested comprising a metal housing having an opening for providing a fluid flow out of the valve, and a metal valve member configured for adjustably restricting the fluid flow through the opening, wherein the housing is made of a first material comprising a steel alloy and wherein the valve member is made of a second material having a thermal expansion coefficient being lower than the first material. By providing the valve member and the valve housing with materials with different thermal expansion coefficients, the expansion of the valve member may he reduced during a rapid temperature increase or heating up of the valve member e.g. when the gas engine is started or accelerated.
Refuel adapter
A refuel adapter, which may, among other things, be suitable for aircraft refueling includes a casing and a butterfly valve disposed within an interior of the casing. The butterfly valve includes a body defining an opening and a disc rotatable within the body about an axis of rotation to selectively close the opening. The disc includes at least one opening therethrough, and a first flap and a second flap are each rotatably attached to the disc to selectively cover a portion of the at least one opening. The butterfly valve may be movable between (i) a static position in which the disc and the first and second flaps are in a closed position, (ii) a refuel position in which the disc may be in a closed position and the flaps are in an open position, and (iii) a defuel position in which the disc may be in an open position.
Butterfly valve and method of manufacturing the same
A butterfly valve which may enhance corrosion resistance or acid resistance with keeping its strength, have light weight and realize mass production, and method of manufacturing the same. are disclosed. The butterfly valve comprises a body in which an inserting space is formed and a disk inserted into the inserting space of the body, wherein fluid flow is opened or closed in response to rotation of the disk. Here, the disk includes a disk body formed of a metal, and at least one plastic layer formed on the disk body.
Device for selectively storing and mixing first and second liquids
A device for selectively storing and mixing two liquids. The device comprises a first interior portion for storing a first liquid, a second interior portion for storing a second liquid, and a valve intermediate to the first and second interior portions. The valve moves between at least two positions, a first position preventing the first and second liquids from mixing, and a second position allowing the first and second liquids to mix. The valve includes a first member protruding from a first side and a second member protruding from a second side.
Exhaust valve for a motor vehicle
An automobile exhaust valve is provided, in particular for an automobile combustion engine and more particularly for an embodiment of an implementation of a gas passage shutter. A valve body defines a gas circulation passage along a longitudinal axis and is composed of only two identical half-bodies whose axes, parallel to the longitudinal axis, are offset radially, in order to define inside the valve body two seats on which sides of the gas passage shutter come into flat contact in a closed position. An exhaust pipe equipped with such a valve, and a vehicle equipped with such an exhaust pipe, are also provided.
BUTTERFLY VALVE DEVICE
A butterfly valve device includes: a body that defines a passage through which a fluid flows and a bearing hole arranged on an axis; a shaft that is rotatably passed through the bearing hole, has a two-sided width portion formed in a region facing the passage and a slit hole penetrating a center of the two-sided width portion, and has a columnar outer contour; and a butterfly valve that is fitted into the slit hole and fixed to the shaft to open and close the passage. In a surface region where the two-sided width portion of the shaft and the butterfly valve are close to each other, the butterfly valve device has a step suppressing portion that suppresses a step so as to make the fluid flow streamlined when the butterfly valve is fully opened.
BUTTERFLY VALVE SEAT AND VALVE SEAT CAVITY
The disclosure relates to a butterfly valve having a valve opening defined through the valve body and including a seat retainer fastened to the valve body; a disc with an optimized profile rotatably mounted within the valve opening; an interstice between the disc and valve body; a valve seat cavity defined in the seat retainer and the valve body; a fluid port defined in the valve body, wherein the fluid port is connected to the valve seat cavity and the interstice.
VALVE DISK OF DOUBLE ECCENTRIC BUTTERFLY VALVE, AND DOUBLE ECCENTRIC BUTTERFLY VALVE
A valve disk of a double eccentric butterfly valve having boss sections (3, 4) for accommodating a stem (8) and rib sections (6, 7) each extending toward outer edge portions of the valve disk in a direction intersecting a stem (8) from the boss sections are provided on a surface on one side of a disc (2), and each of the ribs respectively excluding the boss sections is provided such that a height from a surface (2a) of the disc on the side on which a distance to an end on the edge portion side of the valve disk is longer than that on the side on which a distance to an end on the edge portion side of the valve disk is short when the heights are respectively compared at positions spaced an equal distance apart from a stem center axis (20), and the butterfly valve.
Disc valve
A disc valve is provided, including: a main body, at least including first, second and third flow passages, the first, second and third flow passages being in communication with each other; a disc, being oval, including a major axis and a minor axis, being rotatably connected to and in the main body, being rotatable about an axis between a first position and a second position; wherein when the disc is located in the first position, the disc discommunicates the first flow passage and the third flow passage and the first flow passage and the second flow passage are in communication with each other; when the disc is located in the second position, the disc discommunicates the first flow passage and the second flow passage and the first flow passage and the third flow passage are in communication with each other.
Valve with a sealing surface that minimizes wear
A valve including: a flow channel and a closure member. A first sealing surface is provided along walls of the flow channel and a second sealing surface is provided along outer edges of a sealing section of the closure member. A rotation axis is offset from the sealing section by a first predetermined distance and from a centerline of the closure member by a second predetermined distance. To ensure smooth operation of the closure member at least one of the first and second sealing surfaces has a non-conical shape that is at least in one area asymmetric with respect to the center axis of the closure member.
