PROPORTIONAL FLOW CONTROL VALVE POPPET WITH FLOW CONTROL NEEDLE
A flow control valve including a valve body, stepper motor, and valve member. The valve member includes a poppet that can slide longitudinally within a bore of the valve body when the stepper motor receives electricity. A diaphragm, extending inwardly from the valve body to the valve member, deflects in response to movement of the valve member. A flow control needle, mounted to the poppet of the valve member, is at least partially received in an outlet port of the valve body. The flow control needle cooperates with an inner surface of the outlet port to define an outlet flow orifice that varies in size when the valve member moves between open and closed positions. In the closed position, a seat engagement surface of the valve member contacts a valve seat of the valve body to create a fluid-tight seal.
Flow Control Valve
An example assembly includes: a valve body having a cavity therein, wherein the valve body comprises internal threads formed in a first-handed direction and an external feature; a knob having an internal feature configured to engage with the external feature of the valve body to allow the internal feature of the knob to move past the external feature of the valve body in a linear direction when assembling the knob on the valve body; and a needle disposed in the cavity of the valve body and having external threads formed in the first-handed direction and engaging with the internal threads of the valve body, the needle being coupled to the knob such that rotation of the knob and the needle results in linear movement of the needle within the valve body due to engagement of the external threads of the needle with the internal threads of the valve body.
Replaceable seat seal assembly
A replaceable seat seal assembly is used to form a replaceable portion of the ram cavity in a BOP that allows the central portion of the ram cavity to be replaced when wear occurs. A method is provided to refurbish a BOP that has a worn ram cavity with a replaceable portion of the ram cavity. The replaceable seat seal assembly includes a plurality of inserts such as a top insert, bottom insert, and two side inserts. The inserts of the replaceable seat seal assembly are positioned within one or more pockets or recesses machined into the ram cavity and throughbore. The inserts can be readily replaced for convenient maintenance without the need for heat treatments, welding, and the like that is normally needed to repair a used ram cavity.
Ocean depth automatic compensation type full-ocean-depth hydraulic control water stop valve
An ocean depth automatic compensation type full-ocean-depth hydraulic control water stop valve includes a valve body having an inlet and outlet on a side thereof; a valve sleeve assembly embedded in the valve body; and a valve core assembly. The valve sleeve assembly includes a spring cover; a pressure rod valve sleeve; a valve core cover; a valve seat; a pressing piece; a push rod valve sleeve base body; and a screw plug. The valve core assembly includes a pressure rod; a valve core; and a push rod.
Carbide insert assembly having a fused retainer
A carbide insert assembly for use in a control valve having a valve stem, a flow passage, and a valve seat disposed in the flow passage. The carbide insert assembly includes a housing, a carbide insert disposed within the housing, and a metal retainer adjacent the carbide insert. The metal retainer is fused to the housing.
Valve seat
A valve with a valve seat includes an inner path providing a first flow channel adapted to be in contact with a first chamber of the valve, the valve seat including at least one outer path also adapted to be in contact with the first chamber, the valve seat further including an area facing a sealing area of the valve, the area being adapted to be in connection with a second chamber, the area having an inner sealing edge and an outer sealing edge, and wherein the valve seat is adapted to allow for a flow between the first chamber and the second chamber when the valve is in an open position, where the flow in the inner path and the at least one outer path flow through the area in contact with the second chamber via the inner sealing edge and the outer sealing edge, respectively.
Integral Check Valve
An integral check valve has a stem with a first interior bore extending longitudinally inward from a first end thereof and a spindle having a central shaft having a first end and an opposing second end with flange circumscribing the central shaft. The interior bore is sized to receive the stem and a portion of the central shaft extending from the first end to the flange. The integral check valve may be a component of a plumbing fixture that further includes a hollow body having a water inlet, a water outlet and an integral check valve receiving conduit. The integral check valve receiving conduit has threads sized to engage the outwardly extending threads of the stem.
PILOT-ACTUATED SPOOL VALVE HAVING ROD RETAINER
A pilot-actuated spool valve comprises a generally cylindrical valve cage having a central axial cavity open at both ends and a plurality of generally radial openings connecting the central axial cavity to the external cylindrical surface of the cage; a valve sleeve sized to slide within the central axial cavity of the cage and having a first sealing surface at a first end and a second sealing surface at an opposing second end; a piston responsive to fluid pressure at a pilot inlet of the valve; a piston rod connected at a first end to the piston and having a threaded second end opposite the first end; and a cap nut in threaded engagement with the second end of the piston rod securing the valve sleeve to the piston rod. The cap nut is sized and configured to provide a clearance gap between the cap nut and the valve sleeve when the cap nut is fully tightened onto the threaded second end of the piston rod.
TAMPER RESISTANT IN LINE ADJUSTABLE VALVE FOR PREVENTING AIR FROM BEING DIRECTED TO A WATER METER
A valve for a water line for preventing or reducing air from being read by a water meter or other device as water. The preferred form of the valve is in line adjustable, i.e., without removing the valve from the water line and/or without shutting-off the flow of water through the water line to vary the force necessary to open the valve to allow a fluid to flow therethrough. Preferably, the valve includes a simple user manipulated tool to vary the force necessary to open the valve from a maximum force to a minimum force without detaching the user manipulated tool from the valve. The force adjusting features disposed in the valve housing are designed to maximize fluid flow through the valve housing while still allowing inline adjustment of the valve. Preferably, the valve includes an anti-tampering member that prevents an unauthorized user from altering the force necessary to open the valve.
EROSION RESISTANT STEAM VALVE
A steam valve includes a housing defining a steam inlet and steam outlet in fluid communication with a valve cavity, and an annular valve seat disposed within the valve cavity. A control valve is configured to selectively engage the valve seat. The steam valve further includes a stop valve configured to selectively engage the valve seat. The steam valve includes a pressure seal head configured to receive the stop valve. The pressure seal head includes an elongated body having a bore extending longitudinally through the body; and a nose piece extending from an end of the elongated body. The nose piece has at least a tapered end portion and a bore extending longitudinally therethrough. The bore of the nose piece is longitudinally with the bore of the elongated body. The nose piece is formed of a first material which has greater erosion properties than a second material forming the elongated body.
