Dirty fluid pressure regulator and control valve

A pressure regulator for dirty fluid service includes: a body having a chamber, a pair of supply sockets, and an outlet port, each socket and the port formed through a wall of the body; a pair of supply seal plates disposed in the supply sockets and having supply passages formed therethrough; and a sliding seal assembly disposed in the chamber. The sliding seal assembly includes: a seal carrier having a piston and a supply gland; and a supply seal disposed in the supply gland. The piston is disposed in a pilot portion of the chamber. The outlet port and sockets are located adjacent to a regulated portion of the chamber. The piston is operable to move the sliding seal assembly between a supply position and a second position in response to pressure differential between the pilot portion and the regulated portion.

A gate valve 1 includes: a plate 2 having an opening portion 9; a plate 3 located opposite to the plate 2; a guide space 5 formed between the plates 2, 3; and a plate 6 provided in the space 5. The plate 6 is slidable along a direction in which an opening portion 11 is offset from the opening portion 9 in the space 5 in a state in which the plate 6 is pressed by the pressing portion 13 and separated from the plate 2, and a position of the plate 6 is fixed with respect to the plate 2 in the space 5 in a state in which the plate 6 is pressed by the pressing portion 16 and is in contact with the plate 2. The pressing portions 13, 16 each have a bellows structure formed by diffusion-bonding metal plates 18 and 19 to each other.

Vacuum valve

A vacuum valve has a valve opening (2, 3) that is surrounded by a valve seat (6, 7), a valve plate (10, 11) that releases the valve opening (2, 3) in an open state and rests against the valve seat (6, 7) in a closed state, and a carrier unit (9) that supports the valve plate (10, 11) and moves between a first position, in which the valve opening (2, 3) is in the open state, and a second position. The valve plate (10, 11) moves between a retracted position and an extended position. In the second position of the carrier unit (9) and in the extended position of the valve plate (10, 11), the valve opening (2, 3) is in the closed state. In the retracted position, the valve plate (10, 11) is supported against the carrier unit (9).

A sealing unit seals the closure plate against the wall in the closed position. The sealing unit includes a supporting frame having opposing first and second longitudinal legs and shorter opposing first and second transverse legs, on which supporting frame there is mounted on one side a circumferential closure plate seal and on the other side a circumferential wall seal. The supporting frame is secured to fastening points on the wall, with central portions of the first and second longitudinal legs being free with respect to the wall, or the supporting frame is secured to fastening points on the closure plate, with the central being free with respect to the closure plate.

GREASE PRESSURE RELIEF SYSTEM

A check valve bleed assembly eliminates the requirement for a person to enter the red zone when bleeding the grease out of a gate or other valve. A gas or other fluid is provided to the check valve bleed assembly. The gas or other fluid acts upon the surface driving a pin into the associated check valve with sufficient force to overcome the resistance of the object sitting on a seat and moves the object off of the seat. The force is maintained as long as is necessary. Usually, the check valve is held open until the gate transitions into the gate's associated gate recess thereby displacing the grease within the gate recess through the check valve, into the check valve bleed assembly, and finally to a waste collection tube. In some embodiments a gate valve greasing access port is included in the check valve bleed assembly such that grease may be injected into the check valve bleed assembly.
