Wedge guide

A wedge guide has two wedge surfaces. The first angled surface engages a first seat retainer positioned on one side of a gate to lock the first seat retainer in a first pocket. The wedge guide has a second angled surface that engages a second seat retainer on the other side of the gate that locks the second seat retainer in a second pocket. The wedge guide does not affect the movement of the seats that move axially between the gate and the respective seat retainers. Two wedge guides are preferably utilized on opposite non-sealing sides of the gate so that the gate slides between them.

The invention relates to a device (1) for aligning a solar panel (20) with respect to an installation rail which is attached to a base, in particular a roof, prior to installation. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising at least one solar panel (20) and at least one such device (1) which is coupled to a frame (21) of the solar panel (20). The invention furthermore relates to a method for aligning a solar panel (20), with respect to an installation rail attached to a base, in particular a roof, prior to installation by using at least one such device (1), optionally followed by the installation of the at least one solar panel (20) to the support rail.

Gate valve

A seal with a wedging element for adjustably compressing the seal. The seal abuts a surface, such as a gate of a gate valve, to seal against the surface with a sealing force that prevents fluid flow therebetween. The sealing force of the seal may be increasing or decreasing compression by adjusting the wedging mechanism. For example, as the seal wears away due to friction between the seal and a sliding gate, the compression may be increased in the wedging mechanism to increase the sealing force to a low threshold.

VALVE SEAT REPLACEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a valve sleeve for forming at least a portion of a valve flow passage. The valve sleeve includes a seat end having a seat face, the seat end extending at least partially into a chamber of a valve body. The valve sleeve also includes a sleeve portion coupled to the seat end and having a coupling end opposite the seat face, the coupling end comprising a retaining mechanism for removably coupling the valve sleeve to the valve body. The valve sleeve further includes an opening extending along a length of the valve sleeve, the opening forming at least a portion of the valve flow passage and having a generally circular cross section.

ROTATIONAL HYDRAULIC LOGIC DEVICE AND VARIABLE CAM TIMING PHASER UTILIZING SUCH A DEVICE

A control valve for use in a cam timing phaser arrangement is disclosed comprising a cylindrical valve body, a rotational shuttle element coaxially located within a recess of the valve body, and a blocking pin. When using in a cam timing phaser arrangement having a first phasing chamber and a second phasing chamber, the control valve when non-actuated acts as a double check valve, preventing flow between chambers. Actuation of the blocking pin limits rotation of the rotational shuttle element and results in the control valve allowing flow in a single flow direction between phasing chambers. The allowed direction of flow can be controlled by controlling the timing of the deployment of the blocking pin. A cam timing phaser arrangement, internal combustion engine, and vehicle comprising such a control valve are also disclosed.

Cam apparatus for use with valves

Cam apparatus for use with valves are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a cam having a cam surface to engage a valve stem, a first portion of the cam surface to engage the valve stem in a closed position, a second portion of the cam surface to engage the valve stem in an open position, and a third portion of the cam surface adjacent the first portion and defining a curved profile. The third portion is to engage the valve stem when the cam is rotated to a first intermediate position between the closed position and the open position. The example apparatus also includes a fourth portion of the cam surface between the second portion and the third portion and defining a linear profile. The fourth portion is to engage the valve stem surface as the cam rotates between the first intermediate position and the open position.
