FLUID FLOW CONTROL APPARATUS FOR USE WITH FLUID VALVES
Fluid flow control apparatus for use with fluid valves are disclosed. An example apparatus disclosed herein includes a plug of a sliding stem fluid valve. The plug has a first portion slidably coupled to a second portion. The first portion includes a first bleed port. The second portion includes a second bleed port opposing the first bleed port. The second portion is to contact a seat of the fluid valve to close the fluid valve. The example apparatus further includes a cavity formed in an outer circumferential surface of the plug by the first portion and the second portion. An axial dimension of the cavity is to decrease when the first portion slides toward the second portion. The decrease is to radially outwardly displace a seal disposed in the cavity. The seal has a curved outer surface configured to engage an inner circumferential wall of a cage of the fluid valve in response to the second portion contacting the seat. The example apparatus further includes a pin disposed in the first bleed port and the second bleed port. The pin is to align the first portion and the second portion relative to a common longitudinal axis.
Drop-tight spool and sleeve for metering valve
A spool and sleeve assembly for a metering valve comprises a spool body defining a center axis, and a sleeve body having a bore that receives the spool body. The sleeve body includes at least one metering window open to the bore and is moveable between a metering position to control flow through the metering window and a shutoff position where flow is prevented from exiting an outlet end of the bore. A seal assembly reacts between the spool body and the sleeve body to provide at least a first sealing interface and a second sealing interface axially spaced from the first sealing interface when the spool body is in the shutoff position. A metering valve for a fuel system is also disclosed.
Control valve
The invention relates to a process for a control valve having a valve seat and a throttle element, which throttle element has a sealing edge for sealing the valve seat, and furthermore a first opening area and a second opening area, which throttle element can furthermore be positioned relative to the valve seat by a positioning motion such that the first opening area will be effective in a first opening position thereof and/or the second opening area will be effective in a second opening position thereof, characterized in that a sealing element is arranged on the throttle element and/or the valve seat such that the throttle element will pass over a sealing position as it transitions from the first opening position to the second opening position, in which sealing position the first opening area will be effective and the second opening range will not be effective.
Fluid flow control apparatus for use with fluid valves
Fluid flow control apparatus for use with fluid valves are disclosed. An apparatus includes a plug for a sliding stem fluid valve. The plug has a first portion slidably coupled to a second portion. The apparatus also includes a cavity formed in an outer circumferential surface of the plug by the first portion and the second portion. A dimension of the cavity changes when the first portion slides relative to the second portion to displace a seal disposed in the cavity. The seal sealingly engages a cage of the fluid valve when the second portion contacts a seat of the fluid valve.
VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR WELL SYSTEMS
A method for assembling a valve for a well system including disposing a longitudinal axis of a piston of the valve in a radially offset position relative a longitudinal axis of a spool of the valve, axially displacing the piston into a throughbore of the spool while the longitudinal axis of the piston is radially offset from the longitudinal axis of the spool, and radially displacing the piston relative the spool until the piston is received within the bore of a connector coupled to the spool to releasably couple the piston to the spool.
Seal assemblies for use with fluid valves
Seal assemblies for use with fluid valves are disclosed. An apparatus includes a valve plug having a first annular shoulder adjacent an end of the valve plug, a seal disposed on the first annular shoulder, and a fastener at the end of the valve plug to force the seal against the first annular shoulder to apply a load to the seal.
Stellventil
The invention relates to a control valve for adjusting a process fluid flow of a process plant, comprising a valve housing (4) with a valve seat (10) and a valve piston (12) connected to a valve rod (14), which valve piston (12) interacts with the valve seat (10) for opening and closing the control valve (2). The invention is characterized in that, for connecting the valve rod (14) to the valve piston (12), a flange (22) is mounted on the valve rod (14), which flange (22) is screwed to the valve piston (12) via plural threaded connecting elements (34; 48).
Pressure-reducing valve and method for manufacturing same
A pressure-reducing valve 1 includes a tubular valve body 3 movably accommodated in a housing 2, a valve seat 4 fixed inside the housing 2, and an urging member 5 that urges the valve body 3 in a direction separating from the valve seat 4. The valve seat 4 includes an annular elastic member (O-ring 42) capable of abutting against the valve body 3, an annular portion (inner ring portion 41b) that covers an outer periphery of the elastic member, an inner peripheral portion 43b disposed on an inner periphery of the elastic member, a connecting portion (closing plate portion 43a) that connects the annular portion and the inner peripheral portion 43b, and a detachment prevention portion provided in at least one of the inner peripheral portion 43b and the annular portion on a valve body side to prevent the elastic member from detaching from the annular portion.
Fluid control valve
A fluid control valve includes a cylindrical housing with at least one opening through a housing wall, a cylindrical main valve axially movably arranged inside the housing for controlling a fluid flow through the at least one opening and a main valve spring member acting on the main valve. The main valve includes a base wall defining a fluid control volume and fluid main volume in the cylindrical housing. The base wall includes an opening for fluidly connecting the fluid control volume with the fluid main volume. The fluid control valve further includes a pilot valve positioned at the base wall opening, which pilot valve is moveably arranged for controlling a fluid flow through the base wall opening, and an electro-mechanical actuator configured to act on the pilot valve for controlling the main valve via the pilot valve. A method for adjusting the axial position of a cylindrical main valve of a fluid control valve is also provided.
