Disclosed is a coolant control valve unit having a sealing structure, the control valve unit including: a rotary valve provided with a valve coolant passage formed from an inner surface to an outer surface of the rotary valve; a valve housing in which the rotary valve is rotatably provided; a fitting coupled to the valve housing, and having a fitting coolant passage; and a sealing unit provided between a front surface of the fitting and the outer surface of the rotary valve, wherein the sealing unit includes: a sealing ring being in contact with the outer surface of the rotary valve; and a rubber ring provided on the front surface of the fitting, and bringing the sealing ring into contact with the outer surface of the rotary valve, wherein the rubber ring has an X-shaped cross-section, with a front groove, a rear groove, an inner groove, and an outer groove.

DOME VALVE ADJUSTABLE TOP PLATE
20220042607 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A valve with a valve upper plate defining an inlet, a valve body defining an outlet, and a fluid passage. A closure member is disposed in the fluid passage between the inlet and the outlet and has a convex sealing surface and is rotatable between a closed position in which the closure member extends across the fluid passage with the convex sealing surface oriented towards the inlet and an open position in which fluid is able to flow through the fluid passage from the inlet to the outlet. A resilient sealing ring, when the closure member is in the closed position, is moveable between a first configuration in which the sealing ring forms a seal around a circumference of the convex sealing surface and a second configuration in which the valve comprises a circumferential gap between the convex sealing surface and the sealing ring.

System and method for valve seat arrangements

A valve assembly includes a valve body and a valve member extending through at least a portion of the valve body. The valve assembly also includes a seat pocket forming an annular recess in the valve body and a seat arrangement positioned at least partially within the seat pocket. The seat arrangement includes a lower seat extending radially inward from the annular recess toward the valve cavity axis. The seat arrangement also includes an upper seat at least partially overlapping the lower seat, the upper seat extending radially inward toward the valve cavity axis to contact the valve member along a seat face. The seat arrangement further includes an interface seal positioned along an interface between the upper seat and the lower seat, the interface seal receiving a fluid pressure to drive the lower seat radially outward and into the annular recess.

A control valve includes: a port, which is shaped in a tubular form; a valve element; and a metal seal, which contacts the valve element. A gap is formed between a tubular portion of the metal seal and the port in a perpendicular direction that is perpendicular to an axial direction of a flow passage of the port. Thereby, when the valve element is displaced in the perpendicular direction, the valve element urges the metal seal to displace the metal seal in the perpendicular direction in the state where the metal seal contacts the valve element.

CONTOURED INTEGRATED SEAT FOR BALL VALVE

Valves having seats and counterseats with various contours are provided. In one embodiment, a valve includes a body and a flow control assembly inside the body. The flow control assembly includes a ball, a seat installed on the ball, and a counterseat. The ball is rotatable between open and closed positions to control flow through the body and the seat and counterseat include mating surfaces that engage when the ball is in the closed position such that the seat seals against the counterseat along the mating surfaces. Further, the flow control assembly allows pressurized fluid in the body to enter a region between the seat and the ball and a region between the counterseat and the body so as to cause a net force on the seat from the pressurized fluid that pushes the seat away from the ball and against the counterseat when the ball is in the closed position and a net force on the counterseat from the pressurized fluid that pushes the counterseat toward the ball and against the seat when the ball is in the closed position.
