A means of creating a novel, balanced, plunger valve. It is designed by combining the valve seats with the valve stem by varying the diameter of the valve stem. While the valve is closed it experiences minimal net force, but once opened, the working fluid assists in minimizing the response time of the valve. This creates a very efficient dump valve. The design limits the number of components needed for the valve to be assembled which reduces the cost, simplifies the maintenance, enhances the strength, and creates a more reliable valve.
