A fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) and methods of operation are provided. The FTIV includes first and second solenoid valves with the movable valve member of one of the solenoid valves seating against a movable valve member of the other one of the solenoid valves. One of the solenoid valves may be refueling valve allowing for evacuation of fuel vapor during refueling operations as well as to allow for purging high vapor pressure within the fuel tank. One of the solenoid valves may be a proportional valve used to control the flow of fuel vapor to an intake manifold of an operating internal combustion engine as well as to reduce a vacuum generated within the fuel tank.

The drive shaft has at least one tooth engaging with at least one first raised part translationally connected to the actuating member such that rotation of the drive shaft generates translational movement of the movable assembly.

A device for regulating the flow of a fluid id formed with a valve housing having at least two valve ports. A first fluid path that extends between the at least two valve ports is formed in the valve housing. A first valve seat is assigned to the first fluid path. A first closing element is arranged to be coupled to the first valve seat to block or release the first fluid path, and an electromagnetic actuating unit for actuating the closing element. The actuating unit has a, first electromagnet and a second electromagnet that are coupled to the closing element via a coupling mechanism. The first and second electromagnets additively act on the closing element to displace the closing element between at least two positions.

A latch device (12) for a hydraulic valve (10) is proposed. The latch device (12) comprises a housing (22) and a latch shaft (26), which is supported such that it can move in the housing (22). In order to create a latch device (12), independent of the hydraulic provisioning, the provision of at least one magnetizable ring beam arrangement (38), which is supported on the latch shaft (26), and an electric solenoid arrangement (40), located on the housing (22) around the ring beam arrangement (38) is also proposed, wherein by the supply of current to the solenoid arrangement (40), a positioning force can be produced on the ring beam arrangement (38). Furthermore, a hydraulic valve (10) with the corresponding latch device (12) and a hydraulic arrangement (92) for such a valve (10) are also proposed.

A bistable solenoid valve device for a fluid system is provided. The bistable solenoid valve device comprises a bistable solenoid valve. The bistable solenoid valve comprises a permanent magnet. The bistable solenoid valve further comprises an armature displaceable between a first armature position and a second armature position. The bistable solenoid valve further comprises a first switching coil for energization for a displacement of the armature into the first armature position. The bistable solenoid valve further comprises a second switching coil for energization for a displacement of the armature into the second armature position. The bistable solenoid valve further comprises an evaluation device adapted to measure an induced coil voltage, an induced coil current, or both the induced coil voltage and the induced coil current, at one or more of the non-energized switching coils. The evaluation device is further adapted to assess a switching behavior of the armature.

A bistable valve. The valve includes an interior cavity; a first pressure source; a second pressure source; a first post connected to the interior cavity at a first end of the interior cavity; a second post connected to the interior cavity at a second end of the interior cavity; a magnetic shuttle located within the interior cavity; a first electromagnetic coil disposed about the first post; a second electromagnetic coil disposed about the second post; wherein when the first electromagnetic coil is energized, the first electromagnetic coil supplies a magnetic charge to the first post and actuates the magnetic shuttle to move towards the first end of the interior cavity towards the first post and seal the first pressure source.

Encapsulated solenoid valve

Technologies are described herein or a solenoid valve having an encapsulated magnetic piston. In some examples, the piston comprises a ferromagnetic core encapsulated by a low reactive outer shell. In some examples, the low reactive outer shell is selected for use within a system at a vacuum. In further examples, the valve is used in a cooling system that uses an adsorbent.

The solenoid valve further includes a second coil winding (60) arranged about the first coil winding in order to contain the magnetic field generated by the first coil winding.
