Universal flapper
10577786 · 2020-03-03 · ·

Some embodiments include a fluid control assembly with a flapper canister, a linkage rotatably coupled to the flapper canister and to a support of a mount. In some embodiments, the flapper canister can be angled with respect to the mount to enable the flapper canister to be coupled to various sizes, types and orientations of flush valves. In some embodiments, by rotating the linkage about pivots coupled to the flapper canister and the support and pivoting or rotating about a motion-enabling element coupling the mount and a support, the flapper canister can be raised, lowered, and/or rotated or pivoted enabling the flapper canister to be sealed against a flush valve orifice. In some embodiments, the flapper canister includes a buoyancy control tube providing fluid coupling between one side of the flapper canister to an opposite side and enabling buoyancy-assist to the position or motion of the flapper canister.

WATER STOP VALVE
20200049273 · 2020-02-13 ·

Disclosed is a water stop valve. A water inlet channel, a water outlet channel, and a water sealing surface are formed in a valve body. A valve stem has a middle portion movably disposed in the valve body and a lower portion mounted in a back-pressure hole of a water-plugging stopper. A back-pressure cavity is formed above the water-plugging stopper. A sealing end surface matching the back-pressure hole is formed on the valve stem. When in use, the valve stem drives the water plugging stopper to move downwards, the sealing end surface blocks the back-pressure hole, and the water plugging stopper blocks the water sealing surface, such that the water enters the back-pressure cavity, and the water pressure enables the water-plugging stopper to block the water sealing surface to stop the water. The water stop valve stops a water inlet valve from feeding in water in a timely manner.

MODULATING BUTTERFLY VALVE FOR CONTROLLING WATER LEVEL IN A SWIMMING POOL
20200018084 · 2020-01-16 ·

A valve assembly for regulating water level in a swimming pool includes a first butterfly valve in a pool drain line of the pool and a second butterfly valve in a fresh water line. The drain line and the fresh water line supply water to a pit remote from the pool. A return water line directs water from the pit to the pool. A float in the pit is operatively connected to both butterfly valves via first and second pivotal arms which are rotated by a sliding frame when the buoyant float rises and falls, so as to close and open the butterfly valves, and thereby maintain a desired water depth or level in the pit, and thereby a more consistent water level in the pool.

Reservoir overfill protection

A protection mechanism for a lubricant reservoir is mounted within a valve protection chamber disposed on an actuator. The protection mechanism includes a valve actuating plate and an elastic member biasing the valve actuating plate upwards. The actuator is pushed upwards by a rising level of lubricant as the lubricant reservoir is filled. When the reservoir is full, the actuator causes the valve actuating plate to contact a valve stem. The valve actuating plate pushes the valve stem up to shut off a flow of lubricant to the reservoir through the shut off valve. During an overfill event the actuator shifts upward due to the rising level of the lubricant in the reservoir. As the actuator shifts upward, the elastic member compresses such that valve actuating plate remains static relative to the lubricant reservoir as actuator rises.

Testable overfill prevention valve for a liquid storage container

A testable overfill prevention valve (TOPV) for a liquid storage container. The TOPV allows an individual to readily verify the operability of the TOPV. Preferably, a test member of directly contacts a portion of a latch to release a flow control member so that the flow control member can move from an open position to a closed position wherein in the closed position liquid is generally prevented from flowing out the TOPV. The test member preferably directly contacts the flow control member to move the control member to an intermediate position between open and closed positions allowing an individual looking down into the TOPV to see that the flow control member has moved sufficiently to confirm operability of the TOPV. Preferably, the test member is spring biased to a non-testing position and the entire test member is disposed in the housing of the TOPV when in a testing position.

Efficient water utilization system

A system for collecting and accumulating excess water from one or more in-building sources and delivering it to one or more flushing toilet tanks and possibly also to one or more other in-building consumption devices, such as washing machines or utility faucets. The in-building sources may include any of condensate from an air conditioner, cool water in a hot water supply pipe emerging during initial flow, treated waste water and collected rain- or snow water. At the heart of the disclosed system is an accumulation tank of large capacity, having at least two inlets and at least one outlet. One of the inlets is connected to the main water supply system and includes a valve, configured to let fresh water flow into the main tank whenever the level of the water stored therein falls below a given height. Each outlet is connected to a conduit, conveying water from the accumulation tank to one or more toilet flushing tanks, as their only source, and possibly to other water consumption devices.
