Fluid valve and a single shaft-sealing module thereof
09863552 · 2018-01-09 · ·

A fluid valve with a single shaft-sealing module is disclosed. The single shaft-sealing module allows the annular shaft sealing rings to be squeezed to slightly deform to prevent gaps being formed between the shaft and the inner surface of the valve body, and facilitates easy clean and/or replacement of the worn shaft sealing rings.

A valve can include a valve body, a rotatable gate, a neck extending from the valve body, a shaft extending from the rotatable gate and through the neck, and a seal assembly configured to rotatably seal the shaft to the neck. The seal assembly can include a first stage seal having a first working temperature and coupled to the shaft at a first stage seal location, and a second stage seal having a second working temperature and coupled to the shaft at a second stage seal location farther from the valve body than the first stage seal location. The first working temperature can be higher than the second working temperature, and the seal locations and the first stage seal can be configured to prevent a second stage operating temperature at the second stage seal location from exceeding the second working temperature.

Seal assembly for a rotary valve

A seal assembly for a shaft is arranged to extend around an outer circumferential surface of the shaft and includes: a first seal ring having a first ring angled surface; a second seal ring having a second ring angled surface; and an elastic ring disposed between the first seal ring and the second seal ring and in contact with the angled surfaces. The elastic ring is arranged to act on the angled surfaces to bias the first seal ring and second seal ring radially inwardly and apart from one another. The seal assembly can be part of a rotary valve.

Rotary valve

The application relates to a rotary valve, in particular a multi-way regulating valve, with a housing, which has at least one inlet connection and at least one outlet connection for a liquid and/or gaseous medium, with at least one valve element, which is rotatably mounted in the housing between the connections in order to set at least one desired flow cross-section, and with a control shaft, which is non-rotatably connected to the valve element, which control shaft is led out of the housing with a coupling end, through an opening in a housing wall of the housing, wherein the control shaft has a radial projection, which has an axial stop for making axial contact with an annular sealing protrusion of the housing wall, and with at least one sealing element acting between the control shaft and the housing. It is provided that the annular projection of the control shaft has at least one axial recess on the end face thereof facing the housing wall, which axial recess extends over a limited circumferential section of the end face to the radial outer edge of the annular projection, and that a chamber is formed between the annular projection, the control shaft, the housing wall, and the sealing projection, in which chamber the sealing element is arranged.

A coolant distributor valve for a vehicle cooling system includes a housing that includes a shaft support housing portion that provides a monolithic, unitary structure. The shaft support housing portion has a first side opposite a second side. The first and second sides respectively include first and second bores. A valve is arranged in the housing adjacent to the first side. Electronic components are arranged in the housing adjacent to the second side. The electronic components are configured to move the valve between multiple positions. First and second seals are respectively mounted in the first and second bores. A shaft extends through and engages the seals. The shaft operatively connects the electronic components to the valve.

TORQUE TOOL

A torque tool includes a valve stem interface part, a torque tool housing which contains a fluid, a motor connected to the valve stem interface part, and a first and a second seal which are each arranged between the torque tool housing and an exterior surface of the valve stem interface part. The first seal and the second seal each have a seal body with a first and a second ring. The first and the second ring each have a circular first portion with a free edge, and a second portion. The second portions of each of the first and second ring of each of the first and second seal are connected together. The first and the second seal are axially displaceable and together provide a substantially fluid tight seal between an exterior surface of the valve stem interface part and the torque tool housing.
