EXPANSION JOINT FITTING FOR FLAMMABLE LIQUID
An expansion joint fitting for conveying liquid includes a radially inner bellows defining a liquid-conveying passage for conveying liquid between the first and second longitudinal ends of the expansion joint fitting. A radially outer bellows is disposed radially outward from and extending around the radially inner bellows. An annular plenum is defined between the radially inner bellows and the radially outer bellows.
END FITTINGS FOR FLEXIBLE PIPE SEGMENTS
A pipe assembly includes a flexible pipe segment and at least one end fitting. The at least one end fitting includes an end casing coupled to the flexible pipe segment and a seal housing removably coupled to the end casing. The end casing defines a seal housing-receiving bore extending longitudinally through the end casing, and the seal housing is positioned within the seal housing-receiving bore. The seal housing defines at least one seal bore extending from an axially distal surface of the seal housing, and one or more sealing elements are seated in a respective one of the at least one seal bore. The end casing is couplable to a counterpart fitting, and the seal housing and/or the one or more sealing elements are configured to define a sealing interface with the counterpart fitting.
WEDGE ADAPTER SEAL
A wedge adapter seal may comprise a hard tube having a radially projecting flange and a wedge shaped body comprising a base flange and extending between a base flange face and a sealing face, wherein the hard tube is in fluid communication with the wedge shaped body with the radially projecting flange coupled proximate the sealing face. A wedge adapter seal may further comprise a ferrule coupled to the hard tube, wherein the ferrule comprises the radially projecting flange, a traveling flange disposed about the hard tube and configured to travel axially with respect to the hard tube, wherein the traveling flange comprises at least one of a triangular geometry having convex sides forming a Reuleaux triangle, a circular geometry, a rectangular geometry, a square geometry, or an oblique geometry.
Separation-Resistant Pipe Joint with Enhanced Ease of Assembly
A joint having a male joint member and female joint member with enhanced ease of assembly, in which a raised stop on the male joint member is limited to displacement between a constriction on the female joint member and a locking ring segment, in which the locking ring segment and constriction are separated by an unobstructed traverse region that allows the male joint member to slide axially when under stress without separation from the female joint member, and in which a compressible spacer is installed between the male joint member and female joint member to ensure that the raised stop is installed in an intermediate position between the constriction and the locking ring segment. The compressible spacer withstands forces associated with assembly but allows the joint to compress during extreme events to prevent failure of the joint during extreme events, such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides.
Method for forming fastening collar
The invention relates to a method for forming a fastening collar. A fastening collar is formed to the end of the tubular piece by shaping the end of the tubular piece in a first step by means of a first rotatable shaping head and a counter-surface to a first angle, and in a second step by means of a second rotatable shaping head and a counter-surface to a second angle. The outermost end of a flange part shaped in the first step is shaped in the second step in such a manner that only part of the flange part formed in the first step is shaped into a support surface that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tubular piece.
NESTED FLANGE JOINT
The present disclosure provides flanged joint or interface between two passageways. The flanged joint includes a first passageway, a connector, and a second passageway. The first passageway may, but not necessarily, be formed via casting process wherein an integrated flange may be defined at the opening of the first passageway such that the integrated flange defines a recess. The connector includes a support body having a fastener region at an upper end of the support body and a flange region at a lower end of the support body. The support body defines an aperture which is configured to support the second passageway. The flange region defined in connector is configured to engage with a recess defined in the first passageway.
Plastic seal fitting
A seal assembly for an HVAC system includes a first block having a first aperture and a first sealing surface, a second block having a second aperture and a second sealing, and a conduit having a tube portion with an axially extending aperture and a flange extending radially outwardly from an end of the tube portion. The tube portion is disposed within the first aperture of the first block and the flange is disposed between the first sealing surface of the first block and the second sealing surface of the second block and is configured to deform when compressed therebetween. The seal assembly further includes an insert providing fluid communication between the aperture of the tube portion and the second aperture of the second block. A first end of the insert is received in the aperture of the tube portion of the conduit.
JOINT FLANGE USING THICKNESS-INCREASED AND CUTTING-PROCESSED PIPE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A method of manufacturing a joint flange using a thickness-increased, machined pipe is provided. The method includes a pipe cutting operation in which a pipe is cut to a predetermined length, a flange forming operation in which a flange having a mounting hole for installing the pipe is formed by die casting, a bump-forming operation in which a thickness-increased part, which is formed by increasing a thickness of one end of the pipe, is bumped to form a first bead locked to the flange, a machining operation in which a circumference of the thickness-increased part is machined to form a sealing groove having an O-ring installed, and a fixing operation in which the pipe is inserted in the mounting hole of the flange and the other end of the pipe is pressed to form a second bead so that the pipe is pressed to a lower end of the flange.
