PRECONDITIONED AIR CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR AIRCRAFT

A connector assembly for connection to a preconditioned air port on an aircraft that includes a rotatable coupling, a retractable latch, and a protective cage. The rotatable coupling has an upper coupling section with a circumferential ring on the exterior surface rotatably connected to a flanged surface on a lower coupling section. The lower coupling section includes a lower and adapted to be connected to the air duct. The retractable latch is actuated by rotation of the protective cage relative to the upper coupling section. The retractable latch is attached to the exterior of the upper coupling section and has a latching end and a pin on the other end. The protective cage has two or more circumferential slots and a guide slot on the interior surface. When the rotatable coupling is installed in the protective cage, the pin is inserted in the guide slot and the ring and flange are slidably inserted in the circumferential slots between an open position, wherein the retractable latch is disengaged, and a closed position, in which the retractable latch is engaged with the preconditioned air port. The protective cage surrounds the notable coupling and includes at least a first and second protective bumper at opposite ends of the protective cage. The protective cage extends over the duct connection to surround and protect the connection from coming in contact with the ground.

Hose repair kit with live swivel coupling
10473243 · 2019-11-12 ·

A hose repair kit includes a retaining sleeve having a first opening to receive an end of a hose. There is a swivel coupling inserted into a second end of the hose retaining sleeve to engage with the hose. The swivel coupling includes a first annular member with an annular barb at one end and a socket to receive a key at a second end. There is an annular retaining ring groove with a retaining ring therein. A second annular member receives, within an internal bore having an annular recess, the first annular member and the retaining ring engages the annular recess to secure the first annular member to the second annular member. The surface of the bore is frusto-conically shaped allowing the retaining ring to be compressed as it travels into the bore until it reaches the annular recess and expands into and is seated in the annular recess.

Lightweight, high flow hose assembly and method of manufacture

A hose assembly, preferably a garden hose assembly, including a jacketed tube that is lightweight, durable and versatile. The tube is able to expand longitudinally along the length-wise axis of the hose between hose ends, as well as radially or circumferentially, to an expanded state in response to application of at least a minimum fluid pressure to an inner tube of the hose. Once the fluid pressure falls below the minimum fluid pressure, the hose assembly will contract. The two layer construction of the hose assembly allows for storage in relatively compact spaces, similar flow rates, approximately one-half the weight, and improved maneuverability when compared to conventional hose constructions. In one embodiment the jacket is formed around the tube in a continuous process that welds a material, preferably using hot air, into the jacket. The welded joint forms a region of jacket that is preferably about twice the thickness of the rest of the jacket. This thicker region results in a stiffer section of jacket that makes the hose more controllable and consistent in use.

CONNECTION STRUCTURE FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM PIPING

There is provided a connection structure for fire extinguishing system piping with which stable sealing performance can be obtained, due to screw engagement, by connection work carried out even by an unskilled worker and with which secure engagement of the connection portion can be confirmed easily.

In a connection structure for fire extinguishing system piping in which a male piping member is connected to a connection opening portion of a multi-port joint T by screwing a male thread and a female thread together, the male piping member includes a joint cylinder having a protruding portion that is inserted deeper into the connection opening portion than the female thread. The male piping member also includes the sealing members and that seal the engagement portion between the male thread and the female thread to prevent water leakage into the inside of the connection opening portion. The male piping member includes a step portion, and the connection opening portion includes a step portion. The connection structure further includes an indicator that engages the step portions and in a state in which the male piping member and the connection opening portion are connected together.

Rotary Joint with a Mechanical Seal
