20210239248 · 2021-08-05 ·

A connector comprising a body (1) having a through-way (5) which is open at one end. A shoulder (7) in the through-way faces the open end and supports an O-ring (9). A cap (2) is fitted to an open end of the body and extends from the open end towards the opposite end. The cap is a different colour to the body. A gripping ring (3) in the cap has a plurality of inwardly facing teeth (32) to grip, in use, a tube in the through-way to prevent it from being pulled out of the open end of the connector. A locking ring (4) is fitted over the open end of the body and cap, the locking ring being rotatable between a locked position in which the teeth of the gripping ring can engage the tube and an unlocked position in which the teeth of the gripping ring are prevented from engaging the tube. The locking ring has a window (44) which lines up with the body in one of the locked and unlocked positions and the cap in the other of the locked and unlocked positions.

Pipe-fitting

A pipe-fitting includes a coupling and a flexible pipe-restraint gasket. The coupling includes a bell that defines a pipe insertion mouth at an end of the coupling and an inner recess. The flexible pipe-restraint gasket assembly is disposed within the inner recess and includes an annular body, a plurality of discrete gripping members and at least one extension portion. The plurality of gripping members are disposed around an outer periphery of the body. The at least one extension portion extends from the body and is disposed between a pair of the plurality of gripping members. The at least one extension portion defines a pocket.

Boom Air Seal

The invention provides an articulated joint in a pneumatic conveying system of a boom of an agricultural dry product applicator. The joint allows adjacent product-conveying tubes and respective joint components to articulate with respect to each other while maintaining a seal for pneumatically conveying product. Joint components may be separated from each other when the boom is folded while articulating with respect to each other without disengaging or creating potential leaks at segment junctures while the boom is extended. The articulated joint includes a rigid socket having a first socket section and a second socket section providing support to a compressible seal having a first seal section and a second seal section. The first seal section is inserted into the second socket section to create an airtight seal in between the first seal section and the second socket section even when boom tube segments flex during use.

Pipe Fitting With Inner And Outer Seals
20210156500 · 2021-05-27 ·

A pipe fitting configured to be coupled to a pipe. The pipe fitting includes a body that is elongate along a central axis that extends in a longitudinal direction. The body includes a shell, a stiffener, and a shell-stiffener. The shell includes a shell inner surface that defines a shell through hole that extends through the shell in the longitudinal direction. The stiffener is positioned within the shell through hole, and the stiffener includes a stiffener outer surface that faces the shell inner surface such that the stiffener outer surface and the shell inner surface cooperate to define a pocket configured to receive the pipe. A shell-stiffener seal member is positioned about the stiffener such that a seal member inner surface is substantially flush against the stiffener outer surface and a seal member outer surface abuts against the shell inner surface.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORING AND SELECTIVELY DISPENSING LIQUIDS
20210094811 · 2021-04-01 ·

The inventive system and method advantageously enable superior preserved storage and selective dispensation of liquids by storing wine (or other liquids) in a pressurized environment to ensure that the stored liquid does not come into contact with air, and then by selectively dispensing a portion of the stored liquid, in accordance with a desired dispensing regime, by utilizing a controlled source of pressure force to apply a sufficient pressure to the pressurized environment to expel the desired volume of the liquid in a pressurized stream directed to a dispensing/pouring interface through a conduit or equivalent delivery system. In at least several novel embodiments thereof, the system and method of the present invention are configured for use with wine-in-bag (“WinB”) products.

Conveying Device for Use in the Field of Plastics
20210108749 · 2021-04-15 ·

A conveying device for use in the field of plastics has a frame and a weighing cell connected to the frame. A separating unit is suspended from the weighing cell. A first coupling is connected to the frame and connects a vacuum source to the separating unit. A second coupling is connected to the frame and connects a conveying line for goods to be conveyed to the separating unit. At least one of the first coupling and the second coupling has a first coupling part connected to the separating unit and a second coupling part connected to the frame, wherein the first and the second coupling parts do not contact each other in a region of no contact. At least one sealing element is provided to seal the region of no contact between the first and the second coupling parts.

PIPING CONNECTIONS AND CONNECTION SOCKETS

A connection socket for a tubular connection includes a socket cup having a metal alloy composition and a sealing portion. A primary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The primary seal includes an elastomeric material having a service temperature. One or more spacer rings are positioned within the sealing portion. A secondary seal is positioned within the sealing portion. The secondary seal includes a metal composition, wherein the secondary seal has a melting temperature at or above the service temperature of the primary seal. One or more locking rings are positioned within the sealing portion, wherein each of the one or more locking rings comprises a biting feature defined along an internal circumference of the locking ring.

PUSH-FIT FITTING
20210080039 · 2021-03-18 ·

A plumbing fitting couplable with a free-end portion of a pipe. The fitting has a chamber with an opening, and an end bushing with an interior opening sized to receive the pipe free-end portion. An inward seal and gripper ring within the chamber seal with and releasably grip the pipe free-end portion. An anti-intrusion outward seal is positionable within the end bushing interior opening in fluid-tight engagement with an end bushing interior wall portion and the free-end portion of the pipe when positioned within the end bushing interior opening to prevent contaminants reaching an interior portion of the chamber containing the gripper ring and inward seal.

PUSH CONNECTOR WITH CONNECTION CONFIRMATION FEEDBACK

An improved method of securing a pipe to a connector is provided that includes inserting an end of the pipe into the connector with sufficient force for the pipe to fully seat in the connector. The inventive improvement is generating an auditory signal, a visual signal, or combination thereof in response to pipe fully seating in the connector. The signal generation is provided by components within the connector itself or through resort to a sensing tool.

AXIAL SWAGED FITTING
20210041045 · 2021-02-11 ·

An axial swaged fitting for permanently joining to a tube to achieve an elastic strain preload condition comprises an annular body including a detent step. An annular driver includes a driver detent feature. The driver is configured for selective distal sliding motion with respect to the tube and body to bring the driver detent feature into selective engagement with the detent step at least partially via elastic deformation of the driver detent feature. At least one swage ring is laterally interposed between the tube and the driver. The driver selectively exerts a predetermined compression force laterally inward toward the tube to urge the at least one swage ring into a sealing contact with the tube and responsively place the tube into the elastic strain preload condition. The driver detent feature concurrently engages the detent step to resist proximal motion of the driver with respect to the body.
