According to the invention, the socket neck (3) of the pipe is provided with a screw thread (9) onto which there can be screwed a screw ring (8) which comprises an inner ring part (10) and an outer ring part (11) between which an annular gap is formed, and the ring parts (10, 11) are connected by means of a ring base (12) facing away from the annular bead (4), wherein, upon screwing the screw ring (8) onto the screw thread (9), the front edge (14) of the inner ring part (10) compresses the annular seal (6) inserted into the annular bead (4) and arrests the spigot end of the second pipe or shaped part (13) in the first pipe (1).
Connection device and method for chamfered tube
A coupling device for a tube having an end portion provided with an outer chamfer, and an associated method. The coupling device includes a tubular body provided internally with an annular sealing element and with an attachment member for retaining the end portion of the tube in leak-tight manner in the body. The device further includes at least one retractable abutment arranged so as to oppose insertion into the body of a tube end portion that is not chamfered but allow insertion of a tube that is chamfered, the chamfer of the tube end portion forming a cam for causing the abutment to retract while the tube is being inserted into the body.
Quick-connect system for a high pressure connection
A quick-connect system for a high pressure connection includes a port and a collet. The port defines an inlet opening at an outer longitudinal end of the port and includes an inner wall having a first sloped surface at least partially defining a collet cavity. The first sloped surface has a first diameter at a first end nearest the inlet opening and a second diameter, which is greater than the first diameter, at a second end opposite the first end. The collet includes a head portion and a plurality of legs extending distally from the head portion, and each leg of the plurality of legs includes a distal foot portion. In a connected state, the foot portions of the plurality of legs are located in the collet cavity, and the foot portions define an outermost diameter that is greater than the first diameter.
Pipe joint device and method for manufacturing the same
A pipe joint device configured to interconnect two pipes to be inserted therein through openings of both opened ends thereof including a joint main body and a joint assembly disposed in the joint main body is provided. The joint main body includes a small-diameter part formed at a central part and large-diameter parts formed at both sides of the small-diameter part. Each of the large-diameter parts has a first horizontal part, a diameter-reduced part of which a diameter gradually decreases from the first horizontal part toward the opening, and a second horizontal part extending horizontally from the diameter-reduced part toward the opening. A portion of each of the second horizontal parts is configured as a curled part inclined toward an outer-diameter direction and the opening of the pipe joint device and then again inclined toward an inner-diameter direction and the opening and having a mountain-shaped section as a whole.
PUSH-FIT FITTING AND END BUSHING FOR USE THEREWITH
A plumbing fitting couplable with a free-end portion of a pipe. The fitting has a chamber with an opening and an interior chamber wall with a circumferentially extending chamber groove, and an end bushing with an interior opening sized to receive the pipe free-end portion and an exterior wall portion having an outwardly projecting, circumferentially extending locking member within the chamber groove to resist movement of the end bushing out of the first chamber opening. A seal and gripper ring within the chamber seal with and releasably grip the pipe free-end portion. The end bushing interior opening has an end bushing interior wall portion sized to be engaged by the free-end portion of the pipe when within the end bushing interior opening to resist disengagement of the locking member from the chamber groove while the free-end portion of the pipe is within the end bushing interior opening.
MECHANICAL FITTING FOR PLASTIC PIPE
Spigot device including a spigot formed with exterior gripping teeth and sleeve device to telescope over the spigot. The sleeve device is formed with a radially inwardly opening, distally contracting conical bearing surface which mounts a radially inwardly contractible gripper ring device captive therein, and constructed to be driven radially inwardly by the bearing surface as the sleeve is drawn proximally on the spigot to grip a plastic pipe trapped in the annulus between the sleeve and spigot.
The steps of selecting a spigot device including a distally projecting spigot of a predetermined outside diameter. Selecting a sleeve device formed with a radially inwardly opening interior retainer collar with an interior distally extending and radially and inwardly sloped bearing surface defining a gripper ring cavity. Selecting a gripper ring device which is contractible radially inwardly and inserting in the cavity and retaining the gripper ring device in the cavity to cooperate with the outside diameter to form an annulus for receipt of the plastic pipe and causing the gripper ring device to grip the pipe.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORING AND SELECTIVELY DISPENSING LIQUIDS
The inventive system and method advantageously enable superior preserved storage and selective dispensation of liquids by storing wine (or other liquids) in a pressurized environment to ensure that the stored liquid does not come into contact with air, and then by selectively dispensing a portion of the stored liquid, in accordance with a desired dispensing regime, by utilizing a controlled source of pressure force to apply a sufficient pressure to the pressurized environment to expel the desired volume of the liquid in a pressurized stream directed to a dispensing/pouring interface through a conduit or equivalent delivery system. In at least several novel embodiments thereof, the system and method of the present invention are configured for use with wine-in-bag (WinB) products.
PIPE-FITTING
A pipe-fitting includes a coupling and a flexible pipe-restraint gasket. The coupling includes a bell that defines a pipe insertion mouth at an end of the coupling and an inner recess. The flexible pipe-restraint gasket assembly is disposed within the inner recess and includes an annular body, a plurality of discrete gripping members and at least one extension portion. The plurality of gripping members are disposed around an outer periphery of the body. The at least one extension portion extends from the body and is disposed between a pair of the plurality of gripping members. The at least one extension portion defines a pocket.
