A connector for use with a dialyzer to connect a conduit from a dialyzer with a conduit from a dialysate source. The connector includes a sleeve (female component) and a collet (male component). The sleeve has a generally cylindrical shape with an opening at one end having a circular shape with at least one slot positioned along the periphery of the circular shape. The sleeve also includes at least one flexible finger having a barb at a free end. The collet is configured to be housed within an interior chamber of the sleeve and has first and second gaps to house the barbs and first and second deflectable flanges to lock into recesses in a conduit.

QUICK CONNECTOR WITH VERIFICATION AND ASSEMBLY CHECK

An improved quick connector is provided. The quick connector includes an assembly check that is partially received within an input end of a connector body. The assembly check includes a pull tab and a shielding portion. Upon insertion of a male connector within the input end of the connector body, assembly check retracts from the input end of the connector body and can be manually removed via the pull tab. Once removed from the connector body, a machine readable verification indicia can be read. The verification indicia is visible on an underside of the shielding portion or visible on the connector body once the shielding portion is removed.

FLUID CONNECTOR

A connector for a fluid line includes a sleeve having a hollow portion at least partway therethrough. The sleeve includes an engaging portion. A collet having an engaging part is secured to the engaging portion. A grab part has one or more teeth configured to retain the fluid line, and the teeth are located in the hollow portion. A locking part is provided having a locking portion, and the locking part is configured to move from a first position to a second position where the locking portion locks with a locking piece to assist with forming a fluid seal with the fluid line.

In some cases, the present teachings describe the use of dual extrusion tubing to route air and water through adjacent, connected fluid conduits. In some cases, the present teachings describe a press-and-click method of connecting various components.

TWO-PART COUPLING

A two-part coupling for use in joining sections of pipe without additional fasteners is disclosed. The two-part coupling includes integral coupling features molded by additive manufacturing technology. The two-part coupling increases reliability, reduces weight, and provides ease of manufacture. The coupling distributes a fluid load so that the coupling can withstand pressures and leak rates in accordance with stringent standards. The two-part coupling can be coupled and de-coupled using a locking and release mechanism built into the integral parts. Assembly is made easier because the geometry of the coupling is amenable to additive manufacturing. Because the two-part coupling requires a lesser degree of precision, machined parts are not required.

RELEASABLE CONNECT/DISCONNECT FITTING CONNECTION

A connection to releasably connect and disconnect to a pipe to a fitting provides a pipe fitting body for receiving a pipe and a retaining ring located within the fitting body for retaining and releasing the pipe. The retaining ring has axially extending resilient retaining tabs, each of which has a radially inwardly extending portion for engaging the pipe, and, a radially outwardly extending portion which extends through corresponding radial openings in the fitting body. When the pipe is inserted into the fitting body to an inserted position and the retaining ring is in the first locked axial position, the radially inwardly extending portions engage and retain the pipe in the inserted position. Relative axial movement of the retaining ring with respect to the fitting body from the first locked axial position to a second unlocked axial position causes the radially outwardly extending portions to operatively engage the corresponding body radial openings to resiliently radially outwardly deform each resilient retaining tab thereby disengaging the radially inwardly extending portions from the pipe and permitting removal of the pipe from the inserted position.

In one example, the quick connect fitting includes an indicator section that includes a color-changing material that changes color based on an extent of deformation of the color-changing material, where secure coupling of the first component to the second component is dependent on the extent of deformation. In this way, it may be readily determined as to whether a particular quick connect fitting is securely connected, which may improve engine operation, reduce undesired emissions, and reduce warranty rates.
