EROSION-RESISTANT INSERTS FOR FLOW EQUIPMENT
20200284132 · 2020-09-10 · ·

A system for transporting corrosive or erosive fluids having a conduit or flow equipment with a flow bore, comprising; a flexible pipe, an adapter, an end connector, a clamp connector, insert(s), and a metal spacer. Insert(s) comprise an erosion resistant coating disposed around the internal structure that is a spring or helical structure. The insert(s) is/are disposed inside the flow bore and provide erosion and/or corrosion resistance.

Paraffin deposition inhibitor coatings

A containment for crude oil that inhibits paraffin deposition thereon is described. One to twenty coatings of a composition including a polyacrylate are applied to a crude oil contact surface of a crude oil containment; the polyacrylate includes at least about 50 mole % acrylic acid residues or the conjugate base thereof. The coating compositions are suitably delivered from a water dispersion, solution, or emulsion and dried before applying a subsequent coating. Each of the one to twenty coatings are formed from the same or from different polyacrylate coating compositions. The coated containment surfaces inhibit deposition of at least 10 wt % and as much as 90 wt % of paraffin solids from a crude oil compared to the same crude oil contact in the absence of the one to twenty coatings. The coatings inhibit paraffin deposition at temperatures between about 60 C. and 40 C.

Techniques for joining lined pipelines
10753515 · 2020-08-25 · ·

A connector for lined pipelines includes a tube having opposed male interface elements extending inwardly from respective ends of the tube. One or more circumferential permeable chokes project radially from each male interface element. The chokes minimise flow of oxidising fluid from the bore into the micro-annulus between the liner and the pipe while maximising flow of fluid from the micro-annulus into the bore in the event of catastrophic pressure drop in the bore. To maintain gaps between the tube ends and the pipe liners for fluid flow, shoulder formations extend circumferentially around the tube. The connector may be used in a joint arrangement where each liner includes a body, an end of lesser thickness and greater bore than the body that terminates short of an end of the pipe, an inner step between the body and the end, and an outer step between the end and the pipe.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PIPE LINED WITH AN INNER LINER

A pipe, the inner surface of which is lined with a thermoplastic layer, is produced by a process comprising the following steps: a) a metal pipe is provided, b) a tubular inliner composed of a thermoplastic material is provided, c) a tape is cohesively helically bonded to the inliner, wherein the region of the contact surface of the tape consists of a moulding composition or an adhesive which adhere firmly to the surface of the inliner, and wherein the region of the opposing surface of the tape consists of a moulding composition or an adhesive which adhere firmly to the metal of the pipe, wherein the tape contains unidirectional reinforcing fibers; d) the cross section of the inliner is optionally reduced by exposure to an external force, e) the inliner is inserted into the metal pipe, f) by means of contact pressure and optionally heat, the inliner and metal pipe are firmly bonded to each other.
Relative movements between the metal pipe and inliner are thereby prevented; the inliner also has high safety against collapse. The pipe is used to produce a routed pipeline.

DEVICE FOR THE INTERNAL MONOLITHIC INSULATION OF A WELDED PIPELINE JOINT

A device internally insulating a welded pipeline joint between pipes having an internal protective coating, in a first variant, includes a power actuator having a cylindrical elastic working member for radial expansion when excess pressure occurs inside its cavity. A cylindrical casing of elastic anti-adhesive material arranged coaxially on the member exterior can have channels for exhausting air and supplying a compound. In a second variant, the device sleevelessly insulates an annular space. A casing made of an anti-adhesive material is centrally reinforced by an elastic cord. Using a cylindrical elastic anti-adhesive casing coaxially arranged on the exterior of a power actuator elastic working member forms an annular space in the weld zone either using a protective sleeve, or by a reinforced casing portion. A vacuum in the space is filled by a compound. The elastic anti-adhesive material allows easy removal of the casing from the hardened compound surface.

INTERNAL ANTICORROSIVE AND ABRASIVE RESISTANT PROTECTION COATING FOR PIPES

The present invention includes an inner anticorrosive and abrasive resistant coating (10) for metallic pipes (1) used for the transport of fluids. The coating includes: a layer of epoxy resin (2) having free hydroxyl groups, which are applied directly to the inside (1a) of the metallic pipe (1); a layer of thermoplastic adhesive (3) applied directly onto the layer of epoxy resin; and a layer of a plastic material (4) containing polyvinylidene fluoride or polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF).

Method of inhibiting deposition of contaminants onto a metallic surface with a surface modifying treatment agent

Fouling caused by contaminants onto a metallic tubular, flow conduit or vessel in an underground reservoir or extending from or to an underground reservoir may be inhibited by applying onto the surface of the metallic tubular, flow conduit or vessel a treatment agent comprising a hydrophobic tail and an anchor. The anchor attaches the treatment agent onto the surface of the metallic tubular, flow conduit or vessel.

AIR EXHAUST OR AIR-AND-SMOKE EXHAUST PIPE FOR CLEAN ROOM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

The present invention provides an air exhaust or air-and-smoke exhaust pipe for a clean room and a manufacturing method thereof. The air exhaust or air-and-smoke exhaust pipe is a pipe that satisfies FM4922, FM4910, or another equivalent standard and that is used for exhausting nonflammable chemical gas and corrosive vapor or nonflammable chemical gas, corrosive vapor and smoke in fire. The manufacturing method for the air exhaust or air-and-smoke exhaust pipe is: coating an inner part of a pre-manufactured metal pipe with a liquid coating that can be initially dried at normal temperature or low temperature to obtain an inner coating pipe; and baking the inner coating pipe at a temperature not exceeding 250 C. after the coating is initially dried, thus the coating is completely dried to obtain a finished product.

Structural body comprises a concrete core and a cap around the opening. A first wrap is wrapped under tension around the concrete core and a portion of the cap to form a continuous water resistant barrier around the outer surface of the concrete core. A second wrap can be wrapped under tension around the inner surface of concrete core to form a continuous water resistant barrier around the inner surface of the concrete core. Structural body can be formed as a pipe with a male and female ends to interconnect multiple pipes. The joint formed between two structural bodies has a continuous water resistant barrier that prevents the environment from contacting the concrete core.
