Insulated subassembly

An insulated subassembly for connecting pipelines, containing two insulating half shells made from an insulating plastics, in each case a housing half shell surrounding an insulating half shell, wherein the housing half shell surrounds the outer peripheral surface of the insulating half shell, and at least one hinge connecting the housing half shells, wherein the insulated subassembly contains at least one coupling, preferably quick couplings, positively surrounded by the insulating half shells, and integral closure elements are arranged on the housing half shells.

Pipe apparatus, coupling devices, and methods

Pipe apparatus can include a coupling device with a seal circumscribing a central axis. The seal further includes a first circumferential pocket at least partially defined by a first and second circumferential flange. A fluid guide device positioned at least partially within the first circumferential pocket includes a plurality of segments that are radially arranged to circumscribe the central axis. The fluid guide device at least partially defines a fluid path. Methods can include using the coupling device to couple a first end portion of a first pipe segment to a second end portion of a second pipe segment. Methods of using the pipe apparatus can include passing fluid through the fluid path to cool the seal.

INSULATED SLEEVE CONNECTORS AND METHODS FOR CONNECTING DUCTS

An insulated sleeve connector includes a tubular body having a longitudinal axis. The tubular body includes a first end including a first opening, a second end opposite the first end along the longitudinal axis and including a second opening, and a central section situated along the longitudinal axis between the first end and the second end and including an insulating material. The insulated sleeve connector also includes a first protrusion projecting from an inner surface of the tubular body adjacent to the central section and a second protrusion projecting from the inner surface of the tubular body adjacent to the central section and spaced away from the first protrusion along the longitudinal axis.
