Coupling connection device comprising line coupling connector and wind guard

A coupling connection device includes a line coupling connector and a wind guard. The line coupling connector has first and second coupling elements, fitted together in an axial direction. Arresting means of the first coupling element engage with the second coupling element. The wind guard has a plastic shell with a first part-shell and a second part-shell, enclosing a receiving space, and forming first and second line openings, which connect the receiving space to the surrounding region. The first coupling element is coupled in an axially fixed manner in the axial direction to the first part-shell and/or the second part-shell in the receiving space by interlocking engagement. By a movement of the wind guard in the axial direction and away from the second coupling element, an arresting means can be actuated and the first coupling element can be separated from the second coupling element.

A fluid coupling includes a first coupling member, a second coupling member configured for connection with the first coupling member, and a sleeve disposed at least partially around the first coupling member and/or the second coupling member. In embodiments, the sleeve may include a first flame-retardant layer, a second flame-retardant layer, a third flame-retardant layer, and at least one reinforcement of a non-rubber, rigid material.

CONVEX MALE FITTING AND SYSTEMS

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a male connector for establishing a line-seal for transport of fluids between pipes. The male connector is structured to increase a seating pressure of the line-seal. The male connector comprises a male portion provided at one end of the male connector. The male portion typically comprises a conical sealing frustum provided at one end of the male connector, such that the conical sealing frustum comprises convex sides. Moreover, the male connector is structured to be operatively coupled to a predetermined female connector such that the conical sealing frustum forms a substantially line-seal with the predetermined female connector for transport of a process fluid therethrough.
