Pressure vessel
A pressure vessel includes a liner and a reinforcing layer. The liner includes a body portion having a cylindrical shape. The liner is configured such that a gas is filled in the liner. The reinforcing layer is made of a material having a linear expansion coefficient lower than a linear expansion coefficient of a material of the liner. The reinforcing layer is formed in contact with an outer surface of the body portion. The reinforcing layer is configured to cover the liner from outside the liner. A thickness of the body portion is set to such a value that the outer surface of the body portion is not separated from the reinforcing layer when the gas that has been filled in the liner is discharged out of the liner.
FILLING STATION FOR SUPPLYING A PLURALITY OF VEHICLES WITH A GAS CONTAINING HYDROGEN
A filling station for supplying vehicles with gas containing hydrogen comprises: a storage unit comprising high pressure gas containers; a compression unit comprising compressors for increasing the pressure of gas for the storage unit; and a supply unit comprising a supply device for supplying a vehicle; a storage circuit for circulating gas from the compression unit to the storage unit; and a filling circuit for circulating gas from the storage unit to the compression unit. The storage circuit comprises a storage pipe network connecting each compressor to each container and at least one storage distributor for selectively associating the compressors and the containers. The filling circuit includes a filling pipe network connecting each container with each compressor and a filling distributor for selectively associating the containers and the compressors. The station further includes control means for controlling the storage and filling distributors.
A MEGC TRAILER
The invention relates to a MEGC trailer for transportation and temporary storage of a pressurized gaseous fluid, the MEGC trailer comprising: two gas banks each comprising one or more gas sections and a fluid conduit system. The fluid conduit system comprises a first and a second bank valve between which an additional gas section is connected to the fluid conduit system. Wherein the first and second bank valves are controllable so that the volume of at least one of the two gas banks can be changed with the volume of the additional gas section.
Cross-activated pressure relief apparatus
A pressure relief apparatus for venting a tank comprising an inlet port, an outlet port, a closure member retained, relative to the inlet and outlet ports, for preventing, or substantially preventing, fluid communication between the inlet port and the outlet port, a trigger mechanism including a temperature response portion, and a compartment for receiving pressurized fluid from the outlet port and communicating the received pressurized fluid to the trigger mechanism. The trigger mechanism and the closure member are cooperatively configured to release the closure member and establish fluid communication between the inlet port and the outlet port, thereby venting the tank, upon detection of a temperature at or above a predetermined temperature threshold or upon pressurization of the compartment at or above a predetermined pressure threshold.
Duplex constructive pressure vessel element
A compressed pressure vessel suitable for serving as construction element for building energy storage constructions thereof is described. The compressed pressure vessel comprises a first, inner, segment, wherein the inner segment comprises an inlet for filling or emptying the inner segment and wherein the inner segment is suitable for storing hydrogen, and a second, outer, segment, the outer segment adapted for being filled with a fluid, different from hydrogen, wherein the outer segment is substantially fully encompassing the inner segment.
System for multiple pressure relief device activation
A system includes a first valve fluidly connected to a first vessel and a second valve fluidly connected to a second vessel. The first valve includes a body and a piston. The body includes first and second ports and a bore having a longitudinal axis. The first port is in communication with the bore and an interior of the first vessel. The second port is in communication with the bore, the second valve, and an atmosphere exterior to the first vessel. The piston is movable along the longitudinal axis of the bore. A first position of the piston blocks the first port; a second position of the piston allows fluid communication between the first and second ports. The first valve is configured so that fluid pressure from the second valve, communicating through the second port, urges the piston to the second position.
Hydrogen fueling station with integrated ammonia cracking unit
A system comprising an ammonia cracking unit in which ammonia is split into hydrogen and nitrogen and a hydrogen fueling station for fueling of vehicle tanks with hydrogen from the ammonia cracking unit which comprises gas operated valves (GOVs), one or more hydrogen compressing units wherein the hydrogen from the ammonia cracking unit is compressed, and one or more dispensing units for dispensing the compressed hydrogen to vehicle tanks which each comprise a nozzle through which the hydrogen is passed to the vehicle tank, wherein nitrogen from the ammonia cracking unit is used in e.g.: the operation of one or more of the GOVs; for blanketing one or more of said hydrogen compressing units; for blanketing and/or purging one or more of the dispensing units; for drying one or more of the nozzles between uses to prevent nozzle freeze on.
ALTERNATIVE FUEL SYSTEM
An apparatus and a method are provided for an alternative fuel system, comprising a plurality of fuel tank assemblies interconnected with fuel lines; the plurality of fuel tank assemblies comprising a CNG fuel tank and a fuel tank shield; wherein a first and second fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately in front of a rear wheel assembly, and a third fuel tank assembly is disposed immediately behind the rear wheel assembly.
System and method for filling tank
A system and a method for filling a tank are provided. The tank filling system includes tanks that are filled with predetermined fluid and a manifold that is coupled to each of the plurality of tanks in a communication manner. A first flow passage is connected to a first inlet of the manifold to supply the fluid to be filled into the plurality of tanks to the manifold and a second flow passage is connected to a second inlet of the manifold spaced apart from the first inlet of the manifold by a predetermined distance to supply the fluid to be filled into the plurality of tanks to the manifold. A controller opens and closes the first flow passage and the second flow passage.
