FUEL STORAGE MODULE ASSEMBLY
20220205590 · 2022-06-30 ·

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for producing a hydrogen storage vessel that is lightweight. The hydrogen storage vessel may comprise an inner body and an outer body structured as concentric rings with a conic interface. The vessel may have four material layers, including a barrier layer, an insulation layer, a fiber knit, and an abrasion layer. The fiber knit may be braided to trap the hydrogen, as the barrier layer may not be completely impermeable. Additionally, the fiber braid may be clamped to the outer body, enabling pressure pushing on the inner body to wedge and seal the storage vessel.

Pressurized vessel heat shield and thermal pressure relief system

A pressure relief system comprises a pressurized vessel containing a fuel source and comprising a thermal pressure relief device, a heat shield coating disposed on an outer surface of the pressurized vessel, a sensor in thermal communication with the heat shield and configured to receive thermal energy from the heat shield, and an electronic control module electrically coupled to the sensor and the thermal pressure relief device. The sensor, responsive to receiving a threshold amount of thermal energy from the heat shield coating, may transmit a signal to the electronic control module. The electronic control module may activate the thermal pressure relief device in response to the signal.

A replaceable cartridge for storing a fluid includes a pressure vessel for holding the fluid; a connecting line extending from the pressure vessel to a first connection surface on an external side of the cartridge; and a valve system comprising a first shut-off member disposed in the connecting line; wherein the connecting line has a taper in a direction of the first connection surface.

GAS FLOW ALARM

Aspects and embodiments relate to a gas flow alarm apparatus and gas flow alarm method. The apparatus comprises: a device configurable to introduce back pressure into a flow of gas, a supply sensor configured to determine whether gas flow to the device is enabled; a pressure sensor configured to determine whether a flow of gas through the device has developed back pressure; and logic circuitry in communication with the supply sensor and the pressure sensor configured to determine whether gas flow to the device is enabled and whether a flow of gas through the device has developed back pressure and, if not, to activate an alarm condition. Aspects and embodiments can provide a system which operates to warn a user against various adverse conditions in which a flow of therapeutic gas to a patient is required, yet not being provided.

FUEL PUMP MODULE

A fuel pump module which may be easily assembled and mounted in a flat bombe having a small height in an LPG vehicle, may have a structure in which a reservoir cup may be rotated and restored with respect to a plate by support bars and springs, so that the fuel pump module may be easily assembled and mounted even in a flat bombe having a small height. Furthermore, members for blocking noise and absorbing vibration are combined with a fuel pump, so noise and vibration may be reduced when the pump is operated.

SAFETY VACUUM SUPPLY GAS CYLINDER
20220178501 · 2022-06-09 ·

A safety vacuum supply gas cylinder includes a cylinder body, a pipeline structure, first and second check valves (respectively having first and second check valve opening pressures P.sub.c1, P.sub.c2, wherein P.sub.c1 is greater than an atmospheric pressure P.sub.0). The cylinder body has an opening and an internal space configured to store a gas, wherein the gas forms an internal pressure P.sub.2 smaller than P.sub.0. The pipeline structure, communicated with the opening, has first and second pipelines where the first and second check valves are respectively arranged. An external filling gas enters the cylinder body when a pressure of the external filling gas is greater than P.sub.c1 and P.sub.2. The gas flows out when P.sub.2 is greater than P.sub.c2 and an external environmental pressure.

Leak resistant and serviceable receptacle

A receptacle for conveying fluid is disclosed. An example receptacle includes a main body defining an inlet and an outlet, a spring retainer disposed in the main body, a valve seat disposed in the main body, and a poppet configured to slide between a closed position and an open position. The poppet is slidably engaged with the spring retainer between the closed position and the open position and is engaged with the valve seat in the closed position. The example receptacle also includes a spring engaged with the spring retainer and the poppet to bias the poppet to engage the valve seat in the closed position. The spring retainer, the valve seat, the poppet, and the spring are removable from the main body via the inlet without disassembling the main body.

LPG FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM WITH VAPOR LOCK PREVENTION
20220154884 · 2022-05-19 ·

A liquid petroleum gas (LPG) fuel supply system for a vehicle having an internal combustion engine includes an LPG tank, a fuel pump housing, a fuel pump inside the fuel pump housing, a fuel supply line connected between the LPG tank and the fuel pump housing, and a vapor release port located on the fuel pump housing. The vapor release port is connected to the LPG tank by a vapor return line. The fuel pump housing fills with LPG from the LPG tank under the action of gravity. Vapor forms in the fuel pump housing, separates from the liquid, gathers toward the top of the fuel pump housing, and under the action of gravity, displaces through the vapor port, rises through the vapor return conduit, and is released into the LPG tank 19, balancing pressure and preventing vapor lock.
