A housing is configured to encase the container and the first and second neck mounts. A fill line has a first end coupled to the first end of the container, and a draw line has a first end coupled to the second end of the container. A filter is arranged proximate to the fill line to prevent contaminants from entering the container.
TANK DEVICE FOR STORING A GASEOUS MEDIUM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TANK DEVICE
The invention relates to a tank device (1) for storing a gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, comprising at least one tank reservoir (3), wherein said at least one tank reservoir (3) comprises a tank housing (30) having a tank neck (2). Furthermore, a tank pressure bottom (8) is arranged in the tank neck (2), which tank pressure bottom (8) separates a tank neck space (7) and a tank interior (6) from one another, and wherein said tank neck (2) has an outer thread (10) as an abutment on an outer side (20).
TANK DEVICE FOR STORING A GASEOUS MEDIUM
The invention relates to a tank device (1) for storing a gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, comprising at least one tank container (2), wherein said at least one tank container (2) has a tank housing (20) with a tank neck (3). In addition, a connection screw element (5) is arranged in the tank neck (3), wherein said connection screw element (5) is in contact with a conical sealing seat (10) formed on an inner face (8) of the tank housing (20), thereby sealing a tank neck interior (30) of the tank neck (3), and the connection screw element (5) can be pretensioned by means of a union nut element (6) attached to an outer face (9) of the tank housing (20).
High pressure vessel
A high-pressure container includes a cylinder composed of plastic, at least one half-shell composed of plastic, a substantially rotationally symmetrical insert as a boss member, and a sleeve. The cylinder is to serve as a centre member, while the at least one half-shell is at an axial end of the cylinder. The insert as a boss member, the insert having a foot member at an end thereof facing the container interior. The foot member is embedded in the plastic of the half-shell to substantially form a hollow cone or hollow cylinder. The sleeve is pressed into the inner circumference of the foot member at least in a pressing portion of the sleeve. The plastic of the half-shell is arranged between the sleeve and an inner circumference of the foot member so that in a pressing portion, a thin plastic layer of the plastic of the half-shell is pressed between the sleeve and the inner circumference of the foot member.
Manufacturing method for tank
A manufacturing method for a tank is a method of manufacturing the tank by winding fibers impregnated with an epoxy resin in a plurality of layers around an outer circumference of a liner having a body part and dome parts provided at both ends of the body part. The manufacturing method includes sequentially laminating a plurality of hoop layers by hoop-winding the fibers from a side closer to an outer circumference of the body part toward a side farther from the outer circumference of the body part. When laminating the hoop layers, a temperature of end portions of the body part adjacent to the dome parts is set lower than a temperature of a remaining portion of the body part, the remaining portion being a portion of the body part other than the end portions.
Fuel system mountable to a vehicle frame
A fuel system is provided that includes a fuel system frame and in some cases access steps. The frame can be mounted to a vehicle frame rail. Bracket assemblies can be coupled to the fuel system frame at a plurality of positions. The fuel tank can be mounted at neck portions thereof and can be supported on the frame rail between the neck portion, e.g., spaced a distance from the neck portions in a longitudinal direction of the fuel system. The access steps can be non-rectangular to provide a wide stepping portion even if the fuel system includes large tanks. The steps can be directly supported by an outside surface of the tank.
Hydrogen storage tank having a nanoporous breather layer
A storage tank for a gas is provided. The storage tank includes a liner defining an internal compartment; a boss coupled to the liner; an interlayer covering a portion of the boss and the liner, the interlayer being non-pyrolyzed and including an interconnected web and pores having a diameter greater than the diameter of a hydrogen molecule and less than or equal to about 2 nm; and an outer shell including a carbon fiber reinforced composite, the outer shell covering the interlayer, except for an interlayer end that is in contact with the boss, so that the interlayer end defines an interlayer ring that is exposed to an external environment. The storage tank is configured so that when gas diffuses through the liner to the interlayer, the interlayer channels the gas out of the exposed interlayer ring. Methods of fabricating the storage tank are also provided.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A manufacturing method of a high-pressure tank including a reinforcement layer configured of fiber reinforced resin including carbon fiber and a liner provided on an inner side of the reinforcement layer includes: a step (a) of preparing the reinforcement layer including a cylindrical portion and a pair of dome portions, the dome portions disposed at respective ends of the cylindrical portion; a step (b) of forming a film on an inner surface of each of the cylindrical portion and the dome portions without using a polymerization catalyst that is deactivated by a component contained in the reinforcement layer; a step (c) of applying a material of the liner to a surface of the film, the material being an uncured material of the liner and containing the polymerization catalyst; and a step (d) of forming the liner by curing the material of the liner applied through a polymerization reaction.
HIGH-PRESSURE VESSEL
A reinforcement layer of a high-pressure vessel has a plurality of low helical layers. In at least one of the (i−1)-th low helical layer and the i-th low helical layer, the difference between the diameter of an opening formed in an end portion of the (i−1)-th low helical layer and the diameter of an opening formed in an end portion of the i-th low helical layer is equal to or larger than the width of the band-shaped fiber when an inclination angle WA of the band-shaped fiber is equal to or smaller than a second angle smaller than a first angle.
Tank manufacturing method and tank
A tank including a liner; a reinforcing layer formed of fiber reinforced resin that is arranged on the liner; a label arranged on the reinforcing layer; and a surface layer formed of glass fiber reinforced resin that is arranged to cover the label. The reinforcing layer includes an inner layer, and an outer layer having a cover rate smaller than the inner layer and smaller than 100%, the cover rate being a percentage of a volume occupied by the fiber reinforced resin in space of the reinforcing layer, and the outer layer being arranged on the inner layer, and at least a part of the label is embedded in the reinforcing layer.
