LPG filling system of bi-fuel vehicle
A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) filling system of a bi-fuel vehicle is provided. The LPG filling system may be configured for reducing the temperature and pressure in an LPG bombe for storing LPG in the case in which the external temperature is very high, e.g. in the hot season, whereby it is possible to easily refill the LPG bombe with LPG. The LPG filling system is configured to cool the inside of an LPG bombe and to reduce the vapor pressure of LPG by supplying some gasoline from a gasoline tank into the LPG bombe using the fact that the temperature of gasoline in the gasoline tank is lower than the temperature of LPG in the LPG bombe, whereby it is possible to easily refill the LPG bombe with LPG even in the case in which the external temperature is very high, e.g. in the hot season.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE FOR LIQUID HYDROGEN STORAGE TANK, AND LIQUID HYDROGEN STORAGE SYSTEM USING SAME
Provided is a liquid hydrogen storage system including: a hydrogen storage tank coupled to a vessel hull and configured to store liquid hydrogen; a catalyst for conversion of para hydrogen in the liquid hydrogen into ortho hydrogen; and a catalyst holder disposed at an upper portion of the hydrogen storage tank and configured to hold the catalyst. A catalytic reaction to convert the para hydrogen into the ortho hydrogen occurs as the temperature of the upper portion of the hydrogen storage tank increases.
Cooling of a vaporized content of a liquefied gas for the purpose of powering machinery, plants or vehicles
A fuel system for a liquefied gas drive system. The fuel system has a liquefied gas tank and a cooling system for the vaporized content of liquefied gas, which comprises a liquid nitrogen tank, a nitrogen pump, a heat exchanger, and a nitrogen cooler, which are connected to each other in a pipework circuit. The heat exchanger is arranged in the interior of the liquefied gas tank. Also disclosed are a vehicle, a plant and a machine, in each case with a fuel system, and a method for cooling the vaporized content of liquefied gas of a liquefied gas drive system.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MODULAR, MOBILE RAIL FUELING
A portable, modular fueling system for the storage, dispensing and offloading of fuel from a rail vehicle to one or more other fuel storage vessels is disclosed. The system module is self-contained on an ISO standardized intermodal platform. The module is capable of being in fluid communication with a plurality of modular storage vessels, either rail-bound or wayside, such as for delivering fuel to a fuel tender or a locomotive. Electrical power, equipment storage, lighting, and compressed air may be located on the intermodal rail car or in a support module, such as either ground-based or rail-mobile. Alternatively, the platform can be mounted to a trailer chassis, or affixed to a land-based foundation matching the standardized intermodal container footprint. Control of the fuel system is provided by automatic means with manual override.
LIQUEFIED FUEL GAS SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of fueling a transporter with liquefied fuel gas includes providing a transporter having a fuel gas storage tank for holding a liquefied fuel gas, a sub-cooler fluidly connected to the fuel gas storage tank, and a consumer. Liquefied fuel gas from the fuel gas storage tank is pumped into the subcooler to create subcooled liquefied fuel gas. The subcooled liquefied fuel gas may then be introduced into the fuel gas storage tank, for example by spraying into a vapor space of the fuel gas storage tank. Liquefied fuel gas is pumped from the fuel gas storage tank to provide pressurized liquefied fuel gas, the pressurized liquefied fuel gas is vaporized and the vaporized fuel gas is provided to the consumer for propelling the means of transport using the vaporized fuel gas as a fuel.
Additively Manufactured Pressurization Diffusers
Example implementations relate to Additive Manufacturing (AM) pressurization diffusers. An example diffuser includes an integral component configurable for receiving and diffusing pressurant. Particularly, the integral component includes multiple elements manufactured as a single-piece structure, including an inner filter, outer shell, and flange. The inner filter includes micro-diamond holes that enable pressurant received at an opening of the inner filter to diffuse out of the inner filter and subsequently through holes positioned in a shell surface of the outer shell. The flange can position the diffuser such that the opening of the inner filter is in pressurant communication with a pressurant source (e.g., opening of a tank) enabling the diffuser to receive and diffuse pressurant in a predefined pattern. For example, when the diffuser is positioned inside a tank, the diffuser can have a frustum configuration that helps diffuse pressurant upwards towards inner sidewalls of a pressure vessel, tube or channel.
Method of filling a fuel tank with liquefied gas and liquefied gas system
A method for filling a fuel tank with liquefied gas includes liquefied gas being brought into the tank so that gas in introduced to a lower section of the tank below the surface of the liquefied gas in the tank, and during a first phase of the filling procedure while gas is introduced to a lower section of the tank the pressure of the tank is maintained below a predetermined set pressure by spraying of liquefied gas into a gas space in the upper section of the tank above the surface of the liquefied gas in the tank. At a predetermined state of the filling procedure a second phase of the procedure is initiated during which the spraying liquefied gas into a gas space in the upper section of the tank is decreased and the second phase is practiced until a predetermined filling stage of the tank is reached.
A FUEL TANK ARRANGEMENT OF A MARINE VESSEL
The present invention relates to a fuel tank arrangement of a marine vessel including a fuel tank for Liquefied Natural Gas, the fuel tank having a shell, a heat insulation in connection therewith, connections for a pipeline for bunkering LNG to the fuel tank, a pipeline for taking boil-off gas from the fuel tank and a pipeline for taking LNG from the fuel tank, and a deep well pump for pumping LNG from the tank to the pipeline, wherein at least one recess is extending inwardly from the shell and being arranged on top of the fuel tank, the deep well pump being installed in the at least one recess.
Apparatus, system, and method for temporary liquid commodity transfer stations
An apparatus, system, and method for temporary fluid commodity transfer stations. A fluid commodity transfer structure can include a base member, a casing, and a fluid commodity transfer system. The fluid commodity transfer system can be configured to dispense a commodity for transloading from opposite sides of the fluid commodity transfer structure. A modular fueling station system can include one or more receptacles operably coupled to a fluid commodity transfer structure to allow a fluid commodity transfer system to utilize each receptacle as a fuel reservoir. The fluid commodity transfer structure can be loaded onto an intermodal transport vehicle, unloaded at a location, deposited at the location, and be operably coupled with one or more receptacles and/or other fluid commodity transfer structures to provide fueling infrastructure for fleet vehicles or allow for the commercial transfer of fluid from one receptable to another as a mobile fluid transfer system.
