Storage Tank for Cryogenic Liquid
20190390822 · 2019-12-26 · ·

A storage tank for cryogenic liquid includes an outer tank constructed of a rigid material and an inner tank contained within and spaced inwardly from the outer tank. A supply line supplies cryogenic liquid to a plurality of cryogenic freezers. A fill line having a diameter greater than the supply line allows the storage tank to be filled at a greater speed relative to filling through the supply line and allows the storage tank to be filled while supply cryogenic liquid to the cryogenic freezers. A level sensor processes an impedance to calculate a level of the inner tank and a reporting unit displays the level and may report the level to a remote server.

LNG tank and operation of the same

Disclosed is a liquefied natural gas storage apparatus. The apparatus includes a heat insulated tank and liquefied natural gas contained in the tank. The tank has heat insulation sufficient to maintain liquefied natural gas therein such that most of the liquefied natural gas stays in liquid. The contained liquefied natural gas has a vapor pressure from about 0.3 bar to about 2 bar. The apparatus further includes a safety valve configured to release a part of liquefied natural gas contained in the tank when a vapor pressure of liquefied natural gas within the tank becomes higher than a cut-off pressure. The cut-off pressure is from about 0.3 bar to about 2 bar.

POWER SUPPLY AND COOLING SYSTEM FOR A FLOATING STRUCTURE

A power supply and cooling system for a floating structure having a tank, includes a supply circuit having at least one compression device, the supply circuit being configured to supply gas to a gas-consuming device, and a cooling circuit having a heat exchanger configured to participate in managing the internal pressure of the tank, the cooling circuit being connected to the supply circuit on either side of the compression device. The compression device includes two compression stages, and the power supply and cooling system includes a control device configured to connect the compression stages in series or in parallel.

Hydrostatically Compensated Compressed Gas Energy Storage System

A compressed gas energy storage system may include an accumulator for containing a layer of compressed gas atop a layer of liquid. A gas conduit may have an upper end in communication with a gas compressor/expander subsystem and a lower end in communication with accumulator interior for conveying compressed gas into the compressed gas layer of the accumulator when in use. A shaft may have an interior for containing a quantity of a liquid and may be fluidly connectable to a liquid source/sink via a liquid supply conduit. A partition may cover may separate the accumulator interior from the shaft interior. An internal accumulator force may act on the inner surface of the partition and the liquid within the shaft may exert an external counter force on the outer surface of the partition, whereby a net force acting on the partition is less than the accumulator force.

STORAGE TANK FOR CRYOGENIC LIQUID
20190323660 · 2019-10-24 ·

A storage tank for cryogenic liquid having an outer tank constructed of a rigid material and an inner tank contained within and spaced inwardly from the outer tank. A first fill line for cryogenic liquid has a first end open exteriorly of the outer tank and a second end open inside the inner tank. The first fill line is fluidly sealed to both the inner tank and the outer tank and the first fill line has a first predetermined flow rate at a set filling pressure. A valve is associated with the first fill line to selectively open and close the first fill line. A second fill line for cryogenic liquid has a first end open exteriorly of the outer tank and a second end open inside of the inner tank. The second fill line has a second predetermined flow rate at the predetermined filling pressure. Furthermore, the first and second lines are sized so that the first flow rate is several times the second flow rate.
