Intelligent pressure management system for cryogenic fluid systems
An intelligent pressure management system that controls the pressure inside a cryogenic tank between variable target vapor pressure values and/or ranges that are set as a function of system operating conditions, by actuating an actively controllable valve disposed on a gaseous fluid vapor conduit; and in some embodiments, additionally by actuating an actively controllable valve on a liquefied gaseous fluid conduit, based on a signal received from a pressure sensor that measures the pressure inside the pressurized tank. The variable target vapor pressure values and/or ranges are determined as a function of at least two system operating conditions which can include the vapor volume in the storage space; the fluid flow demanded by the use device; and a measured temperature parameter that correlates to the temperature of the fluid exiting a heater.
METHOD FOR COOLING A HEAT EXCHANGER OF A GAS SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR A GAS-CONSUMING APPARATUS OF A SHIP
A method for supplying gas to a gas-consuming apparatus provided on a ship including a tank containing the gas in the liquid state and in the gaseous state, in which the method includes: supplying the gas-consuming apparatus with gas withdrawn in the gaseous state from the tank and by a supply unit; condensing at least a part of the gas withdrawn in the gaseous state from the tank by a condensation unit having at least one heat exchanger configured to perform a heat exchange between gas withdrawn between the supply unit and the gas-consuming apparatus and gas flowing between the tank and the supply unit; and cooling the heat exchanger prior to the condensing and at least partially simultaneously with the supplying.
HYDROGEN SUPPLY MODULE AND HYDROGEN SUPPLY METHOD
A hydrogen supply method includes a two-side heat exchange mode in which both introducing a second fluid into a hydrogen storage part after the second fluid exchanges heat with a first fluid in a second heat exchanger in a state in which a compressor is driven to compress the first fluid and introducing the second fluid into the hydrogen storage part after the second fluid is heated or cooled in the thermal device are performed. The method also includes a one-side heat exchange mode in which one of introducing the second fluid into the hydrogen storage part after the second fluid exchanges heat with the first fluid in the second heat exchanger in a state in which the compressor is driven to compress the first fluid and introducing the second fluid into the hydrogen storage part after the second fluid is heated or cooled in the thermal device is performed.
System and method for cryogenic vaporization using ambient air vaporizer
A vaporization system and control method are provided. Liquid cryogen is provided to first ambient air vaporizer (AAV) units. When an output superheated vapor temperature is less than a threshold, the liquid cryogen is provided to second AAV units. When greater than or equal to the threshold, it is determined whether the second AAV units are defrosted. When defrosted, the liquid cryogen is provided to the second AAV units. When not defrosted, it is determined whether ice has formed on the first AAV units. When not formed, it is again determined whether the superheated vapor temperature is less than the threshold. When formed, it is determined whether a current ambient condition is favorable to defrosting the second AAV units. When not favorable, the liquid cryogen is provided to the second bank of AAV units. When favorable, it is again determined whether the superheated vapor temperature is less than the threshold.

An apparatus, system and method for capture, utilization and sendout of latent heat in boil off gas (BOG) onboard a cryogenic storage vessel is described. A liquefied gas vessel comprises a cryogenic cargo tank onboard a liquefied gas vessel, the cargo tank comprising a liquefied gas and a BOG, a latent heat exchanger fluidly coupled to a stream of the liquefied gas and a stream of the BOG, wherein the latent heat exchanger transfers a heat between the BOG stream and the liquefied gas stream to produce a condensed BOG, means for combining the condensed BOG and the liquefied gas stream to obtain a combined stream, the means for combining the condensed BOG and the liquefied gas stream fluidly coupled to the latent heat exchanger, and a liquefied gas regasifier onboard the vessel and fluidly coupled to the combined stream, wherein the liquefied gas regasifier regasifies the combined stream.
Heat exchange system between liquefied natural gas and heat dissipation apparatus
A heat exchange system includes a cold source, a heat dissipation apparatus, a water storage tank, a heating portion, and a cooling portion. The heating portion is coupled between the cold source and the water storage tank. The cooling portion is coupled between the heat dissipation apparatus and the water storage tank. The cooling portion transmits heat of the heat dissipation apparatus to water of the water storage tank to cool the heating portion, and the heating portion transmits heat of the water of the water storage tank to the cold source to heat the cold source.
DOCKSIDE SHIP-TO-SHIP TRANSFER OF LNG
Systems and methods for dockside regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) are described herein. The methods include providing LNG from a LNG carrier to a regasification vessel. The LNG may be regasified on the regasification vessel. The regasified natural gas may be discharged with a high pressure arm to a dock and delivered onshore. The regasification vessel may be moored to the dock. The LNG carrier may be moored to the regasification vessel or the dock.
