Cryostat
A cryostat includes a room temperature vessel, a low temperature vessel, and a refrigeration mechanism. The room temperature vessel includes a room temperature tank, an outer neck tube and a sealing head. The low temperature vessel includes a low temperature tank, an inner neck tube and a liquefaction chamber. The liquefaction chamber corresponds to the first opening and passes through the first opening. The refrigeration mechanism includes a device panel and a refrigeration device. The device panel is disposed on the sealing head. The refrigeration device includes a body and a cold finger. The body is disposed at the device panel. The cold finger is connected with the body and extends into the liquefaction chamber.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORING LIQUID HYDROGEN
The present disclosure provides a storage system comprising a storage tank configured to store fuel at a cryogenic temperature for a predetermined amount of time. The storage tank may have a plurality of layers comprising: a first layer comprising a pressure vessel for containing the fuel at a pressurized state; a second layer comprising insulation for the first layer; a third layer comprising a vapor barrier; and a fourth layer comprising a shell configured to maintain a rigidity of the storage tank.
TANK LEVEL SENSOR AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A sensor assembly is positioned on an exterior of a tank to measure a fluid level within the tank. The tank is modified to include a surface feature and the sensor assembly is slotted within that surface feature. The sensor assembly includes a sensor device and a control circuit configured to drive the sensor device and evaluate readings to determine the fluid level. The sensor assembly further includes a communications interface to enable communication with a management system via a communications network. The management system can store information (e.g. fill status) related to the tank and additionally communicate with vendors or end users to coordinate resupply.
Storage tank device configured to prevent ice formation
A cryogenic storage device includes a storage tank having an inner tank, an intermediate tank and an outer tank spaced apart from each other so as to define a fluid reservoir for holding a cryogenic liquid and a thermal insulative space bounding the fluid reservoir. A top cover closes the open top. An inlet supplies the cryogenic liquid to the fluid reservoir. A fluid sensor is configured to detect a pressure within the cryogenic storage device and is removably disposed within the fluid reservoir so as to allow an ice formation to be thawed without having to thaw the entire cryogenic storage device.
HYDROGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM, RESERVATION DEVICE, RESERVATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A hydrogen supply system includes: a facility identification unit that identifies a fuel supply facility in the vicinity of a travel route of a vehicle to a destination; a calculation unit that calculates an estimated remaining amount of hydrogen fuel at an arrival time when the vehicle reaches the fuel supply facility on the basis of remaining amount information indicating a remaining amount of the hydrogen fuel transmitted from the vehicle; a determination unit that determines whether or not refueling of the vehicle is required on the basis of the estimated remaining amount; and a registration unit that registers an estimated replenishment amount based on the estimated remaining amount and the arrival time as a usage reservation at the fuel supply facility in a case in which the determination unit determines that the refueling is required.
HYDROGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM, HYDROGEN STATION, AND METHOD FOR MANAGING HYDROGEN SUPPLY AND DEMAND
A hydrogen station includes a water electrolysis device that produces hydrogen gas by an electrolytic reaction consuming power supplied from a commercial power network, a compressor that compresses the hydrogen gas produced by the water electrolysis device, an accumulator that accumulates the hydrogen gas compressed by the compressor, a dispenser that fills a fuel cell vehicle with the hydrogen gas accumulated in the accumulator, and a control device that controls a power consumption amount of the water electrolysis device on the basis of a command for adjusting supply and demand of power of the commercial power network.
DIGITALLY MONITORING OF COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSEL
System and method for digitally monitoring a pressure vessel for holding compressed gas, wherein the system comprises a sensor unit placeable on the pressure vessel for gathering information regarding the condition of the pressure vessel, a communication unit for wirelessly communicating the gathered information to a receiver wherein the sensor unit comprises a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the pressure vessel, a gas pressure sensor, at least one power unit for supplying power to the sensors and the communication unit.
Storage tank for cryogenic liquid
A storage tank for cryogenic liquid includes an outer tank constructed of a rigid material and an inner tank contained within and spaced inwardly from the outer tank. A supply line supplies cryogenic liquid to a plurality of cryogenic freezers. A fill line having a diameter greater than the supply line allows the storage tank to be filled at a greater speed relative to filling through the supply line and allows the storage tank to be filled while supply cryogenic liquid to the cryogenic freezers. A level sensor processes an impedance to calculate a level of the inner tank and a reporting unit displays the level and may report the level to a remote server.
