METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FREE-FORM ILLUMINATION ASSEMBLIES

An illumination assembly for a mobile platform includes a body structure and a light source. The body structure is three-dimensional and at least partially transparent. The light source, which is substantially encapsulated within the body structure and is non-planar, is configured to selectably illuminate at least a portion of the body structure in response to an activation signal produced external to the body structure.

Vehicular lamp with OLED having repeated reflections

A vehicular lamp includes a planar light emitting member having an organic EL light emitting portion at part of a substrate, and a reflecting member and a half mirror that are disposed so as to face each other so that light emitted from the organic EL light emitting portion is reflected repeatedly while allowing part of the light to be transmitted to the front.

LIGHTING DEVICE

An embodiment may comprise a lighting device comprising: a substrate comprising a first side surface to a fourth side surface; a resin layer including a plurality of grooves including a bottom surface, an exit surface, and an inclined surface; a plurality of light emitting devices disposed inside the grooves and emitting a first light; a reflective layer formed on the inclined surface; and a diffusion layer disposed on the resin layer. The plurality of grooves extends in a direction from the third side surface to the fourth side surface and are arranged in a direction from the first side surface to a second side surface. The plurality of grooves includes a first groove closest to the first side surface of the substrate and a second groove adjacent to the first groove. The first light emitted from the light emitting device disposed in the second groove is reflected off the reflective layer formed on the inclined surface of the second groove, passes through the exit surface of the second groove, is reflected off the reflective layer formed on the inclined surface of the first groove and passes through the resin layer and the diffusion layer.

A light module, particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising a substrate, one or more light sources arranged on the substrate, and a metal coating on the substrate, forming power supply strips for the light source or sources. The metal coating extends at a distance from the supply strips and/or transversely with respect to said strips, in such a way as to form one or more auxiliary zones providing a heat screen, reflective surface, aesthetic surface, and/or electromagnetic shielding function.

SEMICONDUCTOR LIGHT SOURCE AND DRIVING AID SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH A SOURCE
20170254498 · 2017-09-07 ·

A semiconductor light source and driving aid system for a motor vehicle comprising a semiconductor light source. The semiconductor light source includes a plurality of electroluminescent rods of submillimetric dimensions. At least certain rods are electrically interconnected in a first assembly dedicated to an emission of a light beam at a first wavelength, and other rods are electrically interconnected in a second assembly dedicated to an emission of a light beam at a second wavelength different from the first wavelength, the first and the second assemblies forming two selectively activable emission areas.

PEDESTRIAN COMMUNICATION VEHICLE FOG LAMP
20210396373 · 2021-12-23 ·

A vehicle mounted pedestrian communication lamp including a housing defining an inner package space for receiving a main illuminating component and at least one secondary component for providing variable depictions based upon a processor input to the secondary element. The secondary element further includes at least one individual matrix display containing a plurality of illuminating elements. The illuminating elements each further include any of LED, TFFL, transparent LCD or OLED displays. The individual matrix display further includes either of a rigid or flexible display. The flexible display may also include a thin film transistor (TFT) display. Other features includes a pair of secondary illuminating components provided on either side of the main illuminating component. The main illuminating component can also be provided as a fog lamp. The processor communicates with an external input via any of Bluetooth or Near Field Communication protocols.
