ILLUMINATED AIR CATCHER PASSAGE
An automotive vehicle includes a headlamp housing mounted to a body of the vehicle. An airflow opening extends through the headlamp housing. A light guide coupled to the housing forms a portion of an airflow passage extending from the airflow opening into an interior of the body of the vehicle. A surface of the light guide is etched with a design extending along a length of the airflow passage. An LED light generating unit is positioned adjacent an end of the light guide to pass light from the light generating unit through the light guide that illuminates the etched design.
LIGHTING DEVICE FOR EMITTING ILLUMINATION LIGHT
A lighting device for emitting illumination light includes an LED configured to emit light emitting diode radiation, a laser configured to emit laser radiation, and a phosphor element configured to at least partly convert the LED radiation and the laser radiation into a conversion light which at least proportionally forms the illumination light. The LED, the laser and the phosphor element are arranged relative to one another in such a way that during the operation of the lighting device on an incidence surface of the phosphor element in each case in the time integral the LED irradiates an LED irradiation surface with the light emitting diode radiation and the laser irradiates a laser irradiation surface with the laser radiation. The laser irradiation surface and the LED irradiation surface are free of overlap.
LIGHTING MODULE WITH STYLING MASK
The invention relates to an optical guide made from transparent or translucent material extending along a main direction and including a rounded, tubular guide portion formed with a rounded, tubular dioptric interface, the tubular guide portion being suitable for guiding light along the main direction through successive reflections off the dioptric interface with a rib adjacent to the guide portion that is suitable for allowing light to exit the tubular guide portion. The rib exhibits a variable shape along the main direction so as to modify the amount of light that exits along the main direction. The invention also relates to a lighting module that includes the optical guide and a lighting device that includes the lighting module.

Vehicle LED bulb with polygonal light guide
An automotive LED lamp having a light guide (28) having a single central bore (29) defined by a cylindrical wall (26) and an outer surface (31) defined by a plurality of outer wall segments (35) bounding, as seen in cross-section transverse the optical axis (18) a regular polygonal shape having more than four sides. The outer polygonal shape has between five sides and sixteen sides, preferably a ten-sided decagon.
Visible light manipulating emblem for a vehicle
An emblem for a vehicle comprises: (a) a light source configured to emit visible light; (b) a cover assembly disposed over the light source, the cover assembly having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a transparent portion that is transparent to the visible light, the visible light being incident to the inner surface, and the visible light that the light source emits transmitting through the transparent portion out of the outer surface to an external environment beyond the emblem; and (c) one or more surface relief patterns disposed on the cover assembly, the one or more surface relief patterns configured to manipulate (i) the visible light that the light source emits, (ii) visible light from the external environment, or (iii) both (i) and (ii).
Multi-beam vehicle light
A vehicle light includes a lighting unit with multiple light-emitting elements (LEEs), one or more couplers, a light guide and an extractor. The lighting unit has a curved elongate extension. Each of the couplers has an input aperture coupled with one or more of the LEEs and an exit aperture coupled with a first edge of the light guide and is configured to couple light from the LEEs into the light guide. The light guide is configured to propagate light via total internal reflection to a second edge of the light guide. The extractor has an input aperture coupled with the second edge of the light guide and an exit aperture configured to emit light into an ambient environment.
