Swing arm for recessed lighting fixtures
11306757 · 2022-04-19 · ·

A recessed lighting fixture includes an elongated body including a flange and a pair of swing arms. The swing arms are deployable between a stowed configuration adjacent to the elongated body, to a deployed configuration wherein the swing arms extend radially from the elongated body. In the deployed configuration the swing arms are translatable along threaded members extending along the elongated body in order to clamp a ceiling or other surface between the swing arms and the flange to secure the recessed lighting fixture into a hole in the ceiling. The swing arms comprise removable portions that can be used to increase the range of thicknesses of surface in which the recessed lighting fixture can be installed.

DOWNLIGHT APPARATUS

A downlight apparatus includes a light source, a driver, a light holder, a metal rim and two elastic arms. The driver converts an external power to a driving current to be used by the light source. The light holder stores the light source in an holder space of the light holder. The light holder is placed inside a cavity of a ceiling. The metal rim is connected to a bottom side of the light holder. The two elastic arms are attached to one of the metal rim and the light holder for elastically pressing the metal rim to engage an cavity edge of the cavity of the ceiling for concealing the cavity and preventing an accidental fire to escape from the cavity of the ceiling to outside of the cavity of the ceiling.

POINT SOURCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

A light assembly mountable in an aperture formed in a railing or a light fixture. The light assembly may include a housing, first and second clamps, and first and second fasteners. The first fastener may couple the first clamp to the housing, and the second fastener may couple the second clamp to the housing. When the fasteners are rotated, the respective clamps pivot outward and move towards the railing or light fixture to retain the light assembly in the railing or the fixture. The light assembly may be removable from the aperture in the railing or the fixture.

LUMINAIRE

A lighting apparatus equipped with an assembly and support system based on a chain device which allows obtaining the lighting apparatus in various shapes and sizes. The chain device comprises a plurality of links adapted to be together or separated and put on site in an easy and quick manner. Said links may comprise the external protective elements which may be applied to give the link and the chain device a greater strength when assembled to form the lighting apparatus.

Imaging apparatuses and enclosures configured for deployment in connection with ceilings and downlight cavities are disclosed. Certain exemplary aspects relate to imaging apparatuses for monitoring, recording or imaging a space such as a room having overhead lighting provided via ceiling structures that may include enclosures and/or downlight fixtures within ceiling cavities, and various imaging apparatuses herein may include an infrared or thermal camera, for example, for imaging within such spaces.

Lighting fixtures and systems including them, lighting assembly attachment system, and methods of installing same

The present disclosure relates generally to light fixtures and to lighting assembly attachment systems. The present disclosure provides a lighting fixture extending no more than 3 inches from the building surface. A light source is disposed in a housing thereof and is configured to emit light through the open side of the housing so as to direct the light in an upward direction. The disclosure also provides lighting assembly including a housing having a base and a cavity below the base, a light source disposed in the cavity of the housing, and one or more clips configured to attach to a flange of a ceiling support beam. Each clip includes an upper arm, a lower arm, and a retainer disposed on the lower arm configured to engage the base of the housing such that the housing is held up by the one or more clips.

RECESSED DOWNLIGHT FIXTURE

A recessed downlight fixture and method for installation is provided. The recessed downlight fixture can be installed in a retrofit application, after a ceiling is installed, through a pre-existing opening in that ceiling. Alternatively, a recessed downlight fixture according to a second embodiment can be installed before a ceiling is present. In either embodiment, the light source coupled to, for example, a heat sink, can be universally moved in three degrees of movement, rotationally, along a tilt axis, or further within the ceiling to increase or decrease the recess. All such universal adjustments can take place through and below the ceiling opening during or after installation.
