An image sensor includes an active pixel array including a number of pixels and image sensor control circuitry configured to perform a read operation only on a subset of the pixels of the active pixel array such that pixels not in the subset remain inactive. By reading out only the subset of pixels in the active pixel array and keeping the remaining pixels inactive, the temperature of the active pixel array may be reduced compared to a conventional read out process, thereby reducing thermal noise in the resulting pixel data.
Spherical motion sensor housing for outdoor security light
The present disclosure sets forth a motion sensing outdoor security light with the flexibility of being mounted to either a wall structure or to an eave or ceiling structure. An adjustable spherical motion sensor housing may be provided with the rotationally adjustable outdoor security light, allowing easy adjustment of motion detection ranges under different mounting schemes without comprising the aesthetic design of the light. The adjustable spherical motion sensor housing may also provide an enlarged horizontal field of view for better performance.
LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED SENSOR
Techniques and devices are provided for sensing image data from a scene and activating primary light sources based on information sensed from the scene. Subsets of a plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit sensing spectrum of light onto a scene. Combined image data may be sensed from the scene while the subsets of the plurality of primary light sources are activated. Reflectance information for the scene may be determined based on the combined image data and combined sensing spectra. Spectrum optimization criteria for the primary light sources may be determined based on the reference information and a desired output parameter provided by a user or determined by a controller. The plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit a lighting spectrum based on the spectrum optimization criteria.

A light fixture includes a housing adapted to secure the light fixture to a building. A lamp may be mounted to the housing. The light fixture further includes an actuator configured to move the device to move between a retracted position and an extended position so that the lamp can illuminate an area around the building.

Variable power supply security light
A security light having optional connection to multiple power supplies. The lighting controller can sense the appropriate connected supply and automatically connect to three different power supplies which include house voltage connection through a typical junction box, a remote solar charging station, and on-board batteries that can be used as a third backup power supply. Additional implementations include power outage detection and backup illumination along with low voltage power supply from a mounting structure.

Moveable Lens Luminaire
Example embodiments relate to movable lens luminaires. One example luminaire head includes a first support that includes a plurality of light sources. The luminaire head also includes a second support that includes a plurality of lens elements associated with the plurality of light sources. A lens element of the plurality of lens elements has an internal surface facing a light source of the plurality of light sources and an external surface. Further, the luminaire head includes a moving means configured to move the second support with respect to the first support, such that a position of the plurality of lens elements geometrically projected on a surface of the first support is changed. The lens element has a varying profile seen in a movement direction of the moving means. The lens element includes a prismatic portion, a collimator portion, or a diffusor portion.
